Bad russians, bad russians....

Not all russians are bad...

Our Russian OpenTTD Community (ttdrussia.net) is glad to announce a new release of Russian OpenTTD Community patchpack (1.2.0) build, based on r13437. With the aim of enhancing the gameplay with the many great additions released by the game fans we have included the following patches:

We would like to express our appologies for not providing the list of all the patch authors, since some of the patches were never published or provided a long time ago outside the forums. We would like to thank all the authors of the patches who publish their work in this forum for their efforts at bringing the game close to ideal.


Support SDL (with SDL.dll), compiled with "--without-personal-dir" option.

Source code (for Linux, Mac OS X, and other non-Windows systems) is also available at http://open.ttdrussia.net/get.php?src_1 ... rpf.tar.gz

Haha, good one for first of april...

Oh, wait, it's 16. June - are you serious? The List is just awesome, if that works it will be my very favourite build to play with...

Thanks for this magnificent patch pack... but I have one question: what exactly does the "time factor" in the economy-tab do? I assumed something like daylength, but there already is the original daylength patch and it doesn't make much sense with the minimum and maximum values...

Seems pretty good...I'm guessing I've got a setting somewhere wrong though because despite having stations and buses going to them, no passengers are going there - only mail.

Edit: Nevermind, they do produce passengers, just not many :\

it comes from "Maximum Income Distance Patch"
i forgot to show it in patch table :) fixed ;)

To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

Good job, being British doesn't stop me getting this patchpack right? ;)

Shame it'll break my savegames (I'd assume it's far too different from r13501), but I might have to sacrifice that if this build works :)

Wait what!

I'm compiling ATM and I'll test my game on MacOSX tomorrow. So far no warnings and failures in Terminal. Amazingly clean work! Very nicely done!

This build works great in Mac OS X 10.5. Unfortunately I didn't manage to make it a dmg, seems my mac lacks something necessary for that. If someone could give more detailed instructions than those at wiki.openttd.org, I would be happy to provide dmg-versions of future Russian Community Patchpacks as soon as they are out.

At the end things went really bad and the game wouldn't even bother to open... I'll try to compile it again later. :(

@Oleg: you need Stuffit to pack it to .dmg or use ZipIt. What command(s) did you use to compile the game successfully and did you use Terminal to do so?

In order to make things work I open Terminal, and do the following

Code: Select all

cd {name of the folder with the source code}
./conf_rules
make
After that the bin directory will contain everything but the original grf files, I add them to the data folder and launch the game by double-clicking openttd.

P.S. I tried to experiment with making bundles and universal binaries by adding appropriate instructions as described in the Wiki, but got nothing but errors.
