Hi there,

Here I am again with some new stuff from the map I've been working on the past couple of months. I've now finished almost one quarter of that map (which is 256x2048), and I'll provide you with a lot of screenshots in the next few weeks.

First one will be a shot of a town called Ashtoreth, named after a female demon in jewish mythology.

Well that's pretty awesome! Where do you get those tunnels, look brilliant!

Yes indeed, they're Czech tunnels and they're integrated in the czech railset. SAC used to use them also. Somewhere on the board there is a grf for just the tunnel entrance, but it's very hard to find. I lost it once and it took me a week to find it again. If you like, I will post it here...

Or you get the Czech Rails and use parameters to ensure the only thing used is the tunnels :P

Fraedean Sawmill processes all the wood on this side of the world. Trains from everywhere transport wood to this mill and when it's processed other trains will transport wood products to a construction site in Scindtrodh somewhere in the middle of this part of the world, and now and then ships arrive to pick up woodproducts to transport it to destinations overseas. This part of the world is separated from the rest of the world by a lot of water. Nearby there is a large harbour where all kinds of processed materials and unprocessed materials are shipped from and to the rest of the world. Soon I wil post screenshots from that harbor.

Wow! I love it!

What I especially love about your shots is the thoughtful integration of different transport modes, such as lorries that make those roads look integral to the shot, rather than redundant eye-candy!

Two more shots from my hand. I hope you like it.

First shot is taken from a small village called Ptah. The locals overthere make a living of fruit cultivation.

In the second shot you can see a town called Tschadean that's famous for it's glass works.

Next time I will come with a small story.... :)

Thanks, and I have had some extra time the last couple of weeks because the bus company I work for has made me and my colleagues go on strike. But keep that quiet; Purno might go mad, hehehe.

Well, if I understand you right, you would like to know which station grf's I used for the last two screenshots.

For the screenshot of Ptah I used flat roofs from New Stations grf which you can find here

For the screenshot of Tschadean I used curved roofs from Dutch Stations grf which you can find here

Kind regards,
Smaug

Before I start telling you the little story as I promised, I'll show you Inedeeh Factory, that's part of the large Harbor I talked about earlier.

Very impressive, your screenshots are already my favorites! So beautiful and inspiring

If you don't mind me asking, how did you create the two piers with cranes in your harbor (on either sides of the docks) without having to keep a piece of land sticking out near the corners? OTTD keeps telling me I need to build on flat land when I try to cover a coastal corner tile. I'm a newbie with all these GRFs and patches, a nod in the right direction would be much appreciated! :)

Thanks for your kind comment. :)

Indeed, Ameecher is right. I used canals, but just around the docks. The station is a leveled one, but you can't see that with the station placed in this direction. The station tiles placed in the water are at sea level. It's a sort of grafical illusion.
