Oztrans, any luck with the bridge bug I picked up a few days ago, or is it still present in this release?

Hey Ben_K until OzTransLtd gets the bridge thing sorted out put a row of covered platforms between the bridge and the Gare Centrale parking lot.

Yes, we can change that to just Waypoints ...

BTW, if I had implemented the waypoints, I would have added a bit switch to the station definition, saying, if set treat this station as a waypoint; then it could appear in any station menu.

This is now a known issue, still present in v0.3a. It will be addressed, we are working on it. But as wallyweb pointed out, for the time being, lengthen Gare Centrale with a row of ordinary platforms (roofed if you want); then place your bridge or other high structures. There are other issues, where the car park decks show up on top of other nearby tiles. Also, as an initial fix already in v0.3a, if Gare Centrale is electrified, I removed the wires and pylons from the platforms; i.e. if you have built an electrified Gare Centrale and you check the station in transparent mode, you won't see the pylons and wires, but the station is still electrified.

Just a little hint ... when you download the set, you will also get the User Guide; its included. At this stage, both the separate and included guide are the same. Later on, we most probably will enhance the user guide and include a quick setup guide with the set. It's all about size.

No, unless we have a bit switch for station tiles, indicating train to behave like being in tunnel or do not show visual effects while on station tile with roof overhead.

BTW, same goes for diesel smoke and sparks, although those are not noticed as much.

In my current game I'm noticing Aegir;s stations and the USSet stations aren't compatible w/the set. I'm seeing some grf conflicts. Does this set need to be loaded before the others to remedy this or is it a compatibility issue?

Technically there shouldn't be any conflicts between newgrf station sets, unless they're sharing station class ID's.

If they are sharing class ID's, then just remove my stations, I'll address conflicts when I get around to my big-ass overhaul of station sets :).

And big-ass an overhaul it shall be. Watch out 8).

Thanks Wally, (although Im very capable of creating solutions that will make it look respectable ;) ). I just wanted to know if it was fixed as there is now a release. Id have thought that having a testing stage would allow all glitches to be fixed before release ;)
I'll make do. I dont really use Gare Centrale in normal use anyway - I only made one for test purposes.

hi,

how can i update the can station platforms from the brownish brick to the grey concrete? it seems to depend on the year when built the station.

You can read the readme... as Im sure you did before you used the set... and it will tell you in there. ;) :)

shame on me, i stopped reading after the 'year built' section on pg. 4. so the answer is, there no real solution at the moment.

Sorry, I was in a library at the time! ;) :lol:

I use road round the edge for the moment. The only thing that frustrates me is that I cannot build a little bit of road to join the car-parks to the road either (due to build on slopes limits - no support for the road).

Whoa! That librarian is one tough lady. I can't believe she tossed us out like that. :wink:
I like what you are doing with the tunnels. I'm a bit of a purist only because I grew up around that station. Is there any way that you can work in the extensions at least on one side?

Well, this would be with extensions...Its gets round the road access problem on the sides at least :)
sadly, I couldn't neaten up the scruffy town built roads as they aren't liking me right now for the massive construction work I've partaken in. You get the idea though :)

I wonder if we can persuade lifeblood to put a tiny bit of reflection on the windows? Breathe a bit more life into it. I think it would make a massive difference. :)
(Compare it to the buildings next to it in my screenshots).

Yes a little reflection would be nice but better to let Lifeblood and OzTransLtd work on that sorter issue first, no? :) Then we can start spa... err ... contacting them about the little things. :wink:
