Most problems can be solved by studying the Manual, in this case this part.
About the newgrfs, you can find those in the crawler.

Download Patch (windows version I assume?) and extract it into ttd main folder and run ttdpatch.exe. Try again!
Ohh and check this CDpatch row in ttdpatc.cfg too! Ttdpatch.cfg is in ttd main folder.. You can crate it if you run ttdpatch.exe once

If you did run ttdpatchw.exe at least once, a file named ttpatch.cfg is created in your ttd folder.seawar ass ttd player wrote:That is just something i dont understand - you need to turn on the Windows 2000/XP patches - what does that mean, and where do i do it, im not english, and not so(!) good at english

Open this with notepad and look for win2k. This should read : win2k on.
You have to create a folder named newgrf inside your TTD folder.seawar ass ttd player wrote:Now i now where they are, but i think i did the question wrong, the places, where i have them i my computer, to turn them on and off, <- thats where the problem is - i cant find that placeRob wrote: About the newgrfs, you can find those in the crawler.
All the newgrf files you want go in there.
Then you create a new text file, name it newgrfw.cfg and you put each newgrf file you want activated in TTDpatch in there like this :
newgrf/file1w.grf
newgrf/file2w.grf
newgrf/file3w.grf

You don't must to write win2k! Its in your ttdpatch.cfg what is in ttd main folder open it with notepad and at the end is switch win2k. If there is off after win2k then replace off word with on (That ON You must write) word!seawar ass ttd player wrote:^ i havent got an answer, someone please answer it as quickly as possible...
