[WIP/REL/HQ] Older US freight / passenger cars
Hi,
as our master in all sorts of US rolling stock apparently has left us, I put down a request I originally suggested to him.
The current US set features all sorts of freight cars, which however only turn up as early as 1955-65 for the most part.
The same applies to the passenger cars which begin to turn up with the first diesels (1940s ?).
What I would like to see is some pre-1960s freight and passenger equipment like box cars (for cattle, goods, food, paper), gondolas (steel, coal, ore), flat cars (steel, goods, lumber), hopper cars (coal, ore) and mail and passenger cars (heavyweights, lightweights).
Unfortunately I have never managed to make Lomo sprites, otherwise I would have tried, but I can offer to hunt down the relevant MSTS shapes and also to contact the authors for permission (to make this a team effort).
Thanks for reading and if you got any further suggestions, I'd be happy to discuss them!

I think that when i asked for permission for the release of some of my other sets is that the authers of the models have moved on and have not made anything for a year which explains why i am not getting a response. Help would be greatly appreciated.
What rolling stock would you like to see? I know about modern US stock a lot more than the older stuff. I am open for suggestions.

Some suggestions
Here is a list of freight cars that would IMHO be suitable, all freeware from http://www.train-sim.com. Of course these are just suggestions and do not by any means suggest a list of stuff that HAS to be converted!
However along with the rolling stock already done by Plastikman, we'd have a nice collection of US stock from about 1920 through to today (of course with some artistic liberties.
If you want, I'll approach these guys and ask them for permission.

That list looks very good
, i would be happy to do all of them. If you could sort permission (i'll help) that would be a massive help, i think getting permission is the hardest part
. Cant wait to start converting!
Inform me if you get any permission and i will whack it into the game ASAP, i'll do my part as well. *off to trainsim to do some downloading*
