curse you lt.gable,
i was already working on how to design and implement seaplanes (personal favourite being the catalina and sunderland): add some new graphics for landing sequence, create an airport that is on water (perhaps a new construction type), see if it can be done that only seaplanes land there, and certain seaplanes can/cant land on land (the sunderland can have wheels attached when in water, rolled up a ramp onto land and then take off on land and then have its wheels taken off in water again - thats the way it works but probably COMPLETELY impossible in ttd)
as for those tanks....looking good

hmmm, create a "station" (as in a building that accepts cargo from industries and vehicles) and make it a set of sea squares (perhaps with a border of buoys) and create some graphics for planes landing the and code it

Wow, that looks fantastic.
Finally, I can see how to use that one particular plane in av8. Good stuff. I'm looking forward to those new airports.

hmm, im just thinking...could you make it possible to have more landing and loading zones? otherwise airports get really really clogged....

I hate to say it, but I think this sounds more practical for OTTD.

Unfortunatly, it is currently A LOT more capable of running smoothly on OTTD, then TTDPatch. However, if you took out some of the less functinal things in TTDPAtch, and then made a new version of it in several month when the new features are on TTDPatch, it would be better.M4rek wrote:NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
On a smaller note, dont do the NOOO stuff that long, it wrecks the layout of the page.
Hmm. Too bad. What is the timeframe of the newairports, anyways? I couldn't find any document on the wiki, but I have it added to my config already, so obviously the switch is supported already.PikkaBird wrote:That particular plane will be taken out of future versions, until the water airports are possible. The Irish wrote:Finally, I can see how to use that one particular plane in av8.

ive heard there are some major flaws in the design. The grf coders know they exis, so they just dont release the grfs till the flaws are fixed.

Looking into? Theres already coding that has been done on it! There are issues regarding the current implementation, which if I remember correctly require quite a lot of (re)coding to fix, but it's far from non-existant...

That water only looks good if it's animated, and besides, it doesn't fit the TT-water.
Still, looks nice.
