Ive been thinking a fair bit about this, and i think the best way for this set to continue to exist it to be as like Snail said:
That's true. Well, IMHO a good way of finalizing the ECS would be to make it as a "repository" set containing as many types of wagons as possible, so that national sets could be able to pick only the models they need. It would be pretty much impossible to let the entire ECS be compatible with each and every particular set out there, as the number of engines and wagons changes from set to set.
A "repository" IMO would be best.
Wile E. Coyote or Purno, could you please post the tracking tbale so far so that i can edit it so its suitable for uploading to the website...
UH, I see error! I'll try to correct it ASAP! It's strange, page isn't loading pics from separate folder... Owen, is it not possible on your users sites or it's something else?
Or you don't have "images" subfolder? You must have it and all images in it.
Once i have the ability to upload again, then just psot anything you need to have added and ill add it straight away! Or if you want ill PM you with the details of the account.
We'll see what is easier. If you have better connection than me (I have dial-up), maybe it's easier: I send you zipped update, and you'll unzip it and upload.
I appreciate you dug up this topic, but this topic has been dug up a couple of times already. It doesn't seem people are really interested in having an ECS. As far as I see, most trainsets are developing their own cargo carriages...
Maybe to change set to European train set? There are many good locos, we can ask their contributors to include them in this set? I offer locos I drew, probably Purno will offer his locos too. I think people will be more interested to play with whole set. Anyway, it's big pity for those great wagons to be not used
> I think if this set has any will to live it will become a full blown European set.
That´s ridiculous.
There are many hundreds of important locomotives of the diverse european state railways during the last 80 years but in TTD there are only 116 train vehicle IDs in total.
I.e. "full blown" collapses to 80, 90 locomotives?
That wouldn´t be sufficient to have even a mediocre mapping of "important european locomotives" but it would be far too large a number to handle it in-game.
