Yeah, thats one of the many things in the list of suggestions that sparked Born's re-drawing. He was working on a fence the last time I checked.

Looks good Born'.

what about adding a couple of trees to the empty spaces? In my contry when you bump into something related to whater treatment there's always a lot of trees and green spaces. :)

Also water desal point in the middle of desert is pretty pointless due to evaporation. How about placing this industry in mid-desert-mid-rainforest area?

its only a Copy and paste to show as an example, its not really in the desert.
Heres an ingame screenshot to show you.

The fence has not been coded yet but hopefully it can and will be

@Born_Acorn:
Can't you just draw the fence with the rest of the building sprite? (You'll have to do that to get them into TTDPatch anyway.) I might make them a pixel higher though.

I'm working on the oil-power station (finally); once I fix the bugs (some of which may be patch-related), I'll send it your way.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

I honestly think someone should say:

"Stop doing anything for the old engine and focus on the new one."

In my opinion, this topic needs to be either closed or to serve a new purpose.

The new engine will use 3D models, AFAIK. Can you make 3D models?

3D models are rendered and the result is 2D sprite.

I agree with you DaleStan.I would certainly would not say STOP IT to peter1138.
1) he's doing quite a good job
2) since there is not a replacement to it, GRF is still the engine to use. Therefore, why not make it work correctly
3) until the new engine comes, why not enjoy the current game with all the features promised by GRF that peter1138 and tron are working on?

But those sprites have a big size and big color depth, which makes them pretty hard to draw by hand, I guess? Which means you will only be able to make such sprites with 3D models? :?:
