I have this idea from long time, because when we carry the coal in power plant we take the money but the power plant is not producing anything. So I will glad if someone can help.
And I'm sorry but my English is not very good.

I don't know. In every game there is actually somebody transporting coal anyways. However, I sometimes play and only build passenger traffic, which would mean I cannot use EMUs.Sgmds765 wrote:Yes probably you are right, but that can insert something like new element in this game, example: no coal to power plant, no electric in powerlines, no electrified trains.
"Something is impossible only until someone does it" (or something like that)I agree that this is to much work, but I think that this can change the game very much, I don't know if someone like this idea but it is not so imposible i think.
Not necissarily. E.g. in Switzerland, hydroelectric power plants were built together with the tracks, e.g. on the Spiez-Frutigen line (first section of BLS) in 1900. In fact, having hydroelectric power available was the first reason to develop electrical traction, in contrast to countries which had vast amounts of coal, e.g. Germany and the U.K. where usage of steam locomotives were more common. And if powerlines are underground you won't need pylons to support powerlines would you? Then 'all' you need is a way to link coal delivery to power stations to allow electric trains to run i.e..
Hmm ... Coal for steam ... Power for electric ... Oil for diesel ... Petrol for RV's ... Hydrogen for fuel cell ... sounds realistic to me ... perhaps a callback implementation?Szappy wrote:... and you could complicate it even more, by requiring coal for steam trains, and a running refinery, for diesel engines![]()
