Oskar, Great stuff. You have done it again...
Rai, looks great, but may I give a suggestion: in the scenario editor, you should not place the one way arrows yet. When you place them already in there, you limit the users to have their RVs drive on the left side. If you don't place them, then the user can place it later in his own game according to his needs.

Most of my scenarios are made for personal use, and then shared. But, I'll consider it for the next one

Thats quite good actually. If you want your ships to unload/load around the port, use the CTRL-Click Bouys too, so that they don't have to stop at a dock. Works better for unloading, as it means they can stop at different parts of the port.Geo.c Ghost wrote:A pic of one of my docks i think you all might like

A factory on a 2x2 station would be an interesting addition to the set.Aegir wrote:Wow! Thats nice Ghost! Very nice. Oh, and Born Acorns next set of sprites will have full-tile container sprites, ifact, more full-tile buildings.

Ooooh, looking good! I especially liked the Nonburg one, with the nice little country station, and the great big industrial forest-harvesting station behind itSiema wrote:Some from your lastest scenerio, Rai:

This forest near Nonburg produces more than 400 tonnes of wood and it's transported to Weningpool Paper Mill, so it's long way with lots of trains needed. Also urban rail in Tycoon city is growing. Very nice scenerio

Here is a screenshot of my revised central station. As you can see, Oskar has once again proven that impossible is just a word. Now, people don't have to pile onto a tourbus to visit the BR110 in it's siding, they can simply walk across over the station concourse whilst they are waiting for their train.
As you can see, the station is a mite more efficiant now than it used to be.

The next screenshot here, was taken in 1997.
In the late 80's, the company known as "Commuter Travel" started to get into trouble. Shortly after buying a second hand V200 and coaches to suppliment their six BR614 sets (made into two consists), they had their first accdient. They started to go downhill from there, and in the late 80's they began to run in the red.
Fortunatly, Tycoon Bank extended them an additional 1 Million DM's to their loan, and Raichase & Co. commissioned an old V200 back into service to run on their lines to maintain services. However, things kept getting worse, and in 1993, the company announced it's bankrupcy. Just before it collapsed and had it's assets sold off, Raichase & Co. announced that they would purchase the remaining hardware owned by the company. As the BR614's remaining were sold off already, this amounted to a single, dual-track railway line running via Market Hill.
Early in 1994, the papers were signed, and Raichase & Co. announced their monopoly of passenger transport in the region. However, this meant that they had to pick up the pieces, so to speak.
After annhilitating some land around Corner Junction, the line was merged into the main station there. A pair of V160's were bought to suppliement the V160 already running on the line (the V200 was scrapped after a year and replaced with a retired V160, as it was clear that the company was not buying any new trains soon).
The first picture shows the oldest V160 on the line.
Built in 1982 in Banley Yards, this V160 was painted in the cream/blue livery common to the trains of the time. However, due to mass electrification of the east, it was retired by 1989, and wasn't re-painted red. It is currently running local services on the newly opened up Western Lines, however due to a stock shortage when it was recommissioned, it does have an odd mis-mash of coaches.
One of the baggage vans was introduced recently, after the other one had a door fall off in transit (nobody was hurt). The blue/cream one was built in 1975, and was originally used for express trains. The coaches are again, a strange mix. The oldest one running was built in 1968.
The second picture shows Corner Junction, 1997. This one explains itself.
The third picture shows one of the towns on the route. These towns have come a long way since the 20's, when they were just a single shop and a couple of houses. Incidentally, Edge Ridge also used to have brewery, but it closed down in 1952.

Finally, a new train was added to the network this week. Let the year of 1999 be known as the year that the new commuter train was added to the network.
To replace the ageing S-Bahn hardware (until now, it was consisting of 2 BR111's and 8 BR420 sets (ordered into 4 consists of 2 units each). The oldest BR111 was retired, scrapped, and replaced with a double-set of the newly invented BR425.
However, this is only a test version, and it could be as late as 2005 before any more are introduced. Already, the company is talking about a better fit-out for the inside of these new trains. Currently, each unit (4 cars long) can take up to 254 passengers, but this results in overcrowding.
In the below shot, you can see 425001 and 425002 departing Sunny Flats station.

The new possibilities are very nice. Getting them to work, however, takes too much time for me to give it a shot

Configuring ttdpatch, finding all the grfs, etc etc, takes ages, by my book.
It's getting like SimCity 4. Great to play but with all the mods and lots out there, you first spend 3 hours configuring the thing and after that you don't want to play any more
