Hey everyone, I'm no good at making maps. So I was wondering, Could I request a new version of the Temp Longmap.

The idea of it is to have a different shape. Instead of having a usual "backwards S", I would like to have an "S", on its side...|_|''| <--in that sort of shape.

try also and have a look at the map from Mtwist. It's a longmap style temp map. looks really nice and neat. It's on the previous page, second last post.

Or, also on the previous page should be my new temp longmap. I think it is in the shape you might want, if I understand you correctly.

Heh, I've already got that one. In fact, I've had about 5 or 6 different games on the map. I'm using it now with the DBsetxl

Ok. This saved game has been lying in my folder for a while. I have got to the point where there isn't anything left to build [except goods trains, but I don't want to clog the lines up too much]. The map is A longmap. The network is built in my usual style of one way traffic in circles-per-island.

The grf's you will need are DBsetxl, newstations, USSIGNALS [ I forgot to turn them off

] But any signal will do, they're all the same. And Total town replacement too.

i have been working quite long on it
if you want to know the real date (the date counter stops in 2070), go to my airplanes and check the age of aircraft 4:
built: 2008
age: 179 years [20]

With the newer patches the date counts til 64000 something.

why can't I open the savegames??
they don't appear when i try to open them in TT

Have you checked their names ?
The phpBB puts extra numbers in the names because those names are probably used before.

The first one is called TRT00_113.sv1.
Remove the _113 part of the name and you can see it in TTD.

Which files are you triying to see ?

The TRT ones are original TTD files, and the TRP ones are TTDPatch files.
The last ones can't be loaded in normal TTD, you'll need the patch for that.

i do have the patch, so that couldn't be the probleme. is it possible that my game stops because i have different patch-settings?

Yes that's entirely possible.
You should allways use the TTDpatch.cfg that comes with the savegame.
If there isn't one attached, ask the poster for it.

ps if you have more problems with the savegames, please start a new thread, so we won't go even more Off Topic.
