It does help if you tell us who you are referring to, otherwise, none of us can answer!! (not needed if referencing the author of the object that the thread was intended for!)

Just needs a lot more "roundness" to it. What program did you use?

BTW, I don't think any Nationals were painted in the "new" stagecoach liveries, they seemed to be in the Old Stagecoach livery or failing that, (of course those of us in this part of the world just HAD to be different!) the Sussex Bus livery. having said that, some of them that worked in Fareham/Portsmouth were "Barbied"!

Anyway, the model, apart from needing rounding off, the roof needs to be a bit more smoother, the doors narrowed and the windows lengthened, the frames of the windows rounded and a "bubble" like windscreen. (I Know, its not a bubble, but it is the best way to describe it!).

Try here for photos of the nationals in my local city:

and some in the old stagecoach livery:

I LOVED the Leyland National. One day i'd love to buy one and refurbish it to working order for myself. I remember the 251 and 551 running through Chadwell Heath as far out to Billericay i think.

I dont think it matters what livery the bus will be in, ok, so it didnt wear it in the reality, but in the reality maps are a lot larger too, and people dont get off at the next station ALWAYS, and there is no need for 747's between Edinburgh and London and.....etc etc

Keep up the good work! It looks fantastic :)

Lucky for me, Cardiff buses (Volvo Ailsa) were included in the game by default, see?

As it stands, a few oddballs aside (older Leyland and Scania buses, and a few of the hateful Optare Metroriders) Cardiff has a hard-on for Dennis Dart buses of varying size.

EDIT: I tell a lie, the Scania buses seem to have been withdrawn. They're also gradually getting rid of the Metroriders, not before time I reckon

Well you never know. out here, some total losers called Transportation Railway Museum Society are the official people who get some of the old busses from our transit operator (Translink). They have stuff like 4 1948 Brill Trolleys in old BC Hydro livery (that's right, our transit system used to be operated by the lectric company).
eh wot?

Yeah, I would like someone to make mines.
(Nevertheless I would notice that I didn't though that it could exist a so large range of busses - uh my English may be quite bad, only 5 years studyin')

BTW 2 new pictures of the "Irisbus Agora" ones. Bad quality, that's right, but any picture is welcome to help you, isn't it?

here's an idea, what about coaches. i've seen discusions about buses but what about coaches, they'll be better because. buses have low(er) speed, low(er) capacity of passengers and go short distances, but with coaches they have high(er) speed, high(er) capacity and go long distances.

so what do you think coaches, or not?

Thats what I didn't ask you to do!! :P Keep going at it, I am just saying it doesn't look right for me. I think I know why, try bringing the front out a bit and round it off, it may look better. The doors just need to be a bit narrower, sort of like this render shot of my object, which I created for Trainz not so long ago. Yes, its a Leyland National derivitive vehicle:

<-- about 3 years Max modelling expereince and totally loving it! :)
(BTW Lusitania, I was ready to give up at a lot of points on the way, in the end, I stuck at it, now look at my models. Can you picture yourself in this position? I can!)

Heheheh, hey WEN, think we could reverse-engineer the 143 and put rubber tires on it and use it as bus?

G-TANK-G: That's a good idea. I use the Ailsa for cities, the Leopard for small towns, and the Wiima for inter-city runs. Shame it's not very fast.

Only if you have the original mesh, in which case, if you were Mr Simon Fooster (spelling?) you probably would!! :) Sadly, I am not Mr Simon fooster. :(

Otherwise the answer would be yes.
