These look beautifull.

I just have to wait five more minutes and I will be out of work. Then it's about installing a50, newstats 0.40, alpine climate etc... Can't wait. Will hopefully post some screenies on monday.

:) Rai ... I was playing with people's photos and paintings ... the output maps are quiet nice ... especially when you gave me your photo to make it a map :) ... (I can make just a map, I am too lazy to make it scenario though)

Yes, I use them for factories and food, because the Industrial Stations set doesn't really have anything that looks good there.

I'm also using them. They are really good for factory stations. In fact, I'll post a screenshot.

First up is the London factory to make Born happy. Looking at it I'm probably gonna add more warehouses and I'm missing cranes. Must add cranes.

Here is the main line with yards either side, the top is occupied by the goods station, and the bottom is the train yard.

Shhh. I knew I should have blanked that out. I couldn't be bothered playing it properly, there were loads of new stations, trains etc to test out and I wanted plenty of money to do so :o

really nice screenies there from Marshy. Love this rail-yard. very nice. :D
May I suggest that you check to have some of the tracks non-electrified, if no electro loc is using them (ie. some of the freight tracks). that might make it look even better.

those look alright to me.

I haven't seen anything that would "hurt" my eyes.

Very nice for a start.

Now to my latest game. I'm playing a updated version my Bay scenario. here are a few screenshots.

The previously quiet little fishing village of fruwood has grown quickly since the coastline has opened an regular commuter services to kingston bridge have been set up.

we are mooving further up the coasline, towards the centre of Kingston Bridge. Here in Getown, the buildings get even more tense. Several calls have been made to build bridges across the railline, to make use of the space on the other side. Local council however wouldn't allow to demolish some of the older protected buildings along the line.
We are not too unhappy about that.

On the other side of the bay lies Hunnton. Here, the commuter rail is squeezed in between some freight activities. Space is an issue all along the coastline, with the suburbs quickly growing and new housing estates built everywhere. No wonder, the sites along the coast are a lovely place to live, and commuter service is good, giving easy access to the working places.

The centre of the map is Kingston and its sister town called Kingston bridge on the other side of the river. Visible here is the edge of Kingston central station and the first suburb of Runtfield. A local developer has bought a stretch of land and built a couple of towers. The ad in the newspapers was as colourfull as the buildings itself... Makes me wonder how the local council could have allowed this.
they must have all been at the same Feng-Shui course or something. "colours are good for you, colours are good for you, colours are good for you..."

As said, space is a real issue. And as more freight had to be transported in a different direction, we had to find some solution. The only available space was "in" the river, but ships would have been too slow.
So the most complex engineering project until now has been set up. The lines on sea level are not without risk, but luckily, flooding isn't an issue here. Lets hope it stays that way.
Residents are not too happy about the view anymore, but then again, before it wasn't much better either.
Just take the train and move to one of the lovely villages along the coast, if you can't stand it anymore.
