Objectif : You will have to transport 9000 tons of iron ;)

Name : EuroTunnel

Nice scenario. Only disadvantage is that the trains go *VERY* slow if the have to climb all the way up.

What a great scenario, I still have not completed it, but I had a fun time puzzling about how to get across the channel.
And then I had to go underground ..... I could ramble on about this, however. please do some more scenarios like this I like the challenge.

Needless to say but I am a newbie

Thank you for your encouragements
A new version...
New Starting date: 1982
I added more engines so that is more realistic and especially faster in the rises.
Now, you can use the ships...

Eurotunnel Version 4
I'm French, sorry for my verry bad english ;)

Nice scenario. I didn't manage to make it in time although I'm sure I could of. Thing is with this scenario, is that you need to make so much money before even attempting to get the steel. You'll see what I mean if you download it.

I'm gonna give it another shot after my fingers have healed lol

If anyone hasn't tried it yet, it's worth it, trust me

Dude the map's huge I don't think screenshots will do it justice.

Try it out. I'm going to hit this one up again probably tomorrow. I need to complete it.

i think the whole idea of EURO-TUNNEL.. was to make the tunnel....not to be cheap and send ships across wide spaces... that cheatin it a bit... lol

I was about to post this result when I realized you had a version 4 ...
So my result with version 2 is 3years 1 month.
I actually took the challenge of digging the tunnel instead of using boats. The obvious cash cows are the two coal mines you should milk right away.
I think the main trick is to return the trains manually to cut down the time they spend in the tunnel. Plus it allows you to have a clean one way tunnel.

Enjoy.

Returning the trains manually when they are empty will certainly speed up the game for you. It takes one to know one....I did that a lot during the normal scenario plays. Much fun.

Heres a picture of my go at Eurotunnel.
Image
Not as quick as yours but no picking up empties, trains nor ships. I completed it using ships and profitable Coal trains.

I just had to play on and watch the first train run through the tunnel I also built near the end of my go. The long iron train seen unloading didnt do too well climbing out from under the channel. Managed a steady 5mph for part of the journey. :)

Am I seeing an underground station in your screenshot? That is so smart.
Can you build it any depth from the factory?

Hallo adn,
Most people build underground passenger stations in large town.
In this way there is no need to demolish houses for the tracks.
In normal use i have never had that the station was to deep to receive cargo or passengers.
