New station graphics
Hello,
It has cought my eye a long time ago but I was afraid to ask, when I get the monorailtrain that the architecture of house on the monorail station is different than the one on the railway station. Why is that?
My suggestion is that after you get the monorailtrain (in 1999 or 2000) the house on the railway station must be modernized too, except for the ones that you already build.
And I want to share a new station layout, you find these layouts a lot in the netherlands, and I find it more fun if these were implemented in the game.
(It's just eyecandy no new features to add)
Is someone willing to do it?
--Thank you--

Huh? That'd force the passangers to walk over the rails, which we really don't want to... What if it comes a train?Mr. X wrote:

just kiddin,
based on the idea in the netherlands we have this tunneling system to get from the main road to the station platform.
(Sounds funny just to let the passengers walk on the rails en let them squashed by a train that just hits the 300 kmh speed limit

Maybe I will draw it once, if you don't understand what I mean.
Maybe I will do a complete station makeover.
(I'm seeking for an excuse to draw something

hmmm... I will think it over cuz i'm to dumb to draw from scratch (to lazy to
) but when I have some spare time I will try to draw some engines for the norwegian trainset. But I have a lot to do, so maybe until next year, when lucky in my christmas vacation. These stations (and all that I have drawn and uploaded to the forum) are from excisting material. But like I said maybe when I have the time I will grant your wish.
, but for now, I'd like to see my station ideas in the game and must wait and pray that a drawer and coder are willing to take my idea into production.

There are underground passages or bridges over railtrack.ThorRune wrote:Huh? That'd force the passangers to walk over the rails, which we really don't want to... What if it comes a train?Mr. X wrote:

Finally, people see and hear when train is coming...

In the regular station layouts people have to walk or jump over the rails to get to another platform, or to walk trough a loading train, but since all passengers are forced to enter the first train that is traveling to the station it won't make any difference. (see picture below)
That comes with a new idea: When you have a station with 2 directions (or more) people can go to direction 1 and go to direction 2 but that all depends on the first train that arrives at the station. I think that this is dumb, when I have to travel with the first train that is entering the station, I must travel for ages until I get at my destination. What I'm trying to say is that when train 1 arrives and load all the passengers in, it leaves nothing behind for train 2, if you have multiple tracks for passengers it must be overwhelmed by passengers, or else your trains are empty and you won't gain much from these.

This sort of thing is pretty common, especially on sidelines.ThorRune wrote:Huh? That'd force the passangers to walk over the rails, which we really don't want to... What if it comes a train?Mr. X wrote:[imgx]http://www.tt-forums.net/files/stationlayout_01.png[/img]
i dont know how to even start thinking about drawing things for the game, but just an idea, has anyone thought about making a station that looks like, maybe Clapham Junction, The Busiest Station in UK, or like Mortlake, just round the corner. For instance, Have platform one going to london (as im using these stations as examples) and platform 2 to Reading. but the two tracks between the platforms?
