guys,

When you just let a vehicle go without orders, in my games they just keep driving around the same one block all the time, so I'm not so sure that this will work.

That only happens only if a road vehicle depot is right next to the vehicles. So if you get rid of the depot, then the vehicles will eb free. Besides, the vehicles would automaticly be int the game. No depot. And they wouldn't be able to click on. So you don't know where they are going. And, they won't be able to go to the depot either.

So you'd have to remove all your road depoes?

No, No, No. I was just responding to "The Irish" and his vehicles. You can have as many depots as you want. The cars won't go in to the depot, but if their is a bug in the program, the cars might go onto the little side street that the depot creates when you build it.

Well it could be simulated like Traffic Giant. The cars will come and disappear at a building. Or if the road continues, it will take that road. But it will take the other road only if the road leads to another city with cars.

a solution for the Cars thingie would be if there is one Competetor who only builds cars and give them directions to go from one depot or busstation to another. Then there would be real life in ttd but I think that the AI is so stupid that it will build stupid roads and mismatch the total map with useless and unremovable roads.
