Really? The new one is better cause the shading is improved, and the roof is shaded, unlike the last one, which was partly mirrored and had size problems

Yes, that's true. But the old 6300, for example, looks very big (like in reality), but the new one looks like it is a very small locomotive. With other words: I can't recognize a 6300 in your new creation. The old 6300 is really recognizable as a 6300, even when the shading is wrong.

I agree with Bastiaan, your new versions are too toyish. And what about the wheel spacing? The 3700 has 3 powered wheels but they're not tightly packed the way you draw them. Look at the sheer overhang at the front and back! If an engine would've existed like that it would tip over on every accelaration or every break. Your other steamers have the same error with the wheels, it's far from realistic. I hope you didn't throw away your old sketches. What is the size (in pixels) of the 6300 btw?

I still have a sketch of it, but i didn't count pixels, so maybe i'll just recolour the old one
Anyway, what's an overhang? The wheels look very close together in this pic http://www.railfaneurope.net/pix/nl/mus ... ail130.jpg

I meant an unsuspended part of the frame, like the front and end of your grf. Did you only use that single photo to draw up the 3700?

nope, i used about 3 photos to choose from
And if u look at the pngs u can see that the "overhang" is supported by 4 wheels

So how is it going with this set? Is there something ready for download? I'd love to use the newer dutch trains (IC etc).

AFAIK, there's nothing for download yet, and it could take some months before there is. AFAIK, there isn't much progress lately, probably because some people (including me) are too busy with other things. Sorry.

I made a new version of the Infosheet a while ago but I forgot to take it with me. In the mean time Purno added some stuff to v0.78 which I added and expanded (slightly) in v0.79.

Good question, I lost contact of broodje and I myself are busy with my study. You consider a worthy option to get together some time, Purno? Perhaps we can arrange something this weekend (read: this suday).

If you want, there's many 3d objects of NS trains floating around
But there's not enough dutch steamers, and i don't know how to render stuff in loco
