For yhose that are grouped together, would it be possible to have the option for them to also be separate?

Not currently

In v3 (which is quite a long way away at this point) there will probably be a parameter for it, but for now it would be a lot of work to support that with the way the set is coded

If at some point the devs add a callback for defining the variant (so that I can turn it on/off depending on a parameter setting) then I'll add it, but in the meantime it's not gonna be plausible sorry

Great work as always. Other than a warning about resizing the capacity for Mark 5 carriages likely to cause desync (which so far it hasn't, maybe that only applies to multiplayer?), i managed to upgrade my game to use v2.13 no problem. Also all my Class 807s have suddenly become EMUs and any not on powered cables are no power, but that's a fun thing to get around!

Probably intentional rather than an error. The dropdown for Pacer says 140-144, but a 144 does not exist. I am guessing this is a coverall string. I was quite excited as I spent most of my childhood rollercoastering across Huddersfield to Sheffield on the 3 carriage 144s, so they are dear to my heart. Hopefully we get some of them 144s soon, and we can enjoy the 3 carriage life, as all the pacers so far are 2 carriages 💘

Also you can change the livery of pacers individually, but if you hook up two fo the same type, you can only refit it to "passengers" instead of individual liveries.
edit: only tested the above with 142s.

Yeah pacers are on the hitlist to be reworked (they’re technically slightly out of scale with the set, just close enough that they survived the big template rework-cull a year ago) so that’s why the string included 144 :) hopefully I get to them before August (we’re expecting our first child so there’s a good chance decelopment drops off for a while…)

The 807 and Mk5 are slight oversights - I’ve recently changed the way the set handles changes to units (basically adding a new identical unit and hiding the old one) so that should be rarer in future updates. They’re the last “breaking” changes I haven’t taken this approach with. But yeah the Mk5 should only cause issues in Multiplayer (and even then only rarely)

The livery thing when attaching two units is, unfortunately, just a limitation of OpenTTD and the slightly hacky way we use cargo refits to change liveries. It’s not really intended to be used like that, so the only way to do it is set the liveries separately before joining the units. This will one day be addressed in BRTrains v3 with a much-expanded use of the variant groups, but it basically requires a full re-write of the code and build process so it’s probably not happening soon  it’s part of the long term plan though

Ah, that might explain why there is sometimes a gap between carriages. This is two 142s together, the rear unit has an odd gap between its carriages that isn't drawn on the first one, at least not at that angle.

If you spin it around, it's got that gap on both trains though lol, kinda odd.

Yup, that’s exactly the problem :)

Some of the sprites are slightly out of scale with the templates, basically. It’s not so horrific that it made the list of awful ones that got nuked but it’s still near the top of the hitlist

It’s no fault of the original artist, they were fine when they had their own dedicated template - it’s just that the pacers were added to the set a long time ago before templates were standardised across the set and so they’re now kinda bodged into a template that wasn’t designed for them

Beautiful. Best update ever. I love that sound around the city centre, continuously. Especially around Market Street & Piccadilly Gardens.

Dude, your 170 CrossCountry rebranded livery looks epic.

I can't wait to complete that part of the network, hopefully by next year

Glad you like it, the 170 is actually one of my least favourite units I've interacted with and I was considering reworking it... but if you like the new XC livery then I'll try to make sure I don't change that one too much haha

If you have any livery/unit requests let me know - I always like to prioritise requests from people actively using and enjoying the set over my more generic "to do" list

I think a 323 would be a good addition to the pack, it would really help round out a LondonMidland recreation.
I've played for years, but I'm still stupid.

Excellent job as it is, but don't be shy with any changes, I trust your judgment with the art.

Hopefully I'll be done with the Southern network soon, I'm probably about 80pc through it, then gotta do a few stations, then onto the slightly similar Southeastern metro, then SE intercity networks.

I'll be sure to share with you a save file once I've passed that next chapter. Cheers!

There's already a 323 in the set, although I'm in the process of re-drawing it right now - are you thinking of a different UK set?
