Had a friend who started making some of the objects snow aware for me, but I keep adding new things (and in some cases changing the designs of some things) quicker then he could keep me with the snow effects. I really need to stop adding things for a month or so .. so he can catch up with me.

Objects planned at moment:

Changing the looks to electricity and phone wires to the dotted effect. Might get these finished by weekend.
Need to change the Grain Silos so they will line up with the new Grain Silos I done in the Industry set (Update to Industry set not released yet)
The fettlers who used trikes and trolleys to inspect railway lines, kept these in small sheds need the railway line .. intend to find some pics of these and add these as lineside objects.
A few more wharf designs.
Add some ship objects to place at these wharves and wharf sets from other makers.

A few other idea in the pipe line too .. but I keep these a secret for now as not sure if idea will work.

I've added some trolley sheds to the Auz_Lineside_Objects.

Have 2 types the 2 doors and 3 doors facing SE and SW.

As you noticed the sheds are empty .. the fettlers are out along the track doing maintenance work.

If any one has drawn any fettlers trolleys, trikes and other related vehicles that railway maintenance workers use, can I have?

Making more changes to Auz_Lineside_Objects.

Added a section called Rail Freight Facilities and transferred the following objects from Railway Station Facilities to this section:
Stock Yard Pens
Goods Sheds
Grain Silos
Grain Sheds


Not sure where to put the Trolley Sheds yet .. at moment they are in with the Railway Station Facilities.

Changes made:
Changed the Grain Silos so they will line up with the grain silos in the AuzInd160 set. They now face 4 different directions. At moment I removed the ones with the trucks .. not sure yet if will add them again.

Hope to release on Friday evening AEST so they ready for the weekend.

Added another fettlers shed as couldn't make up my mind which was better of the 2 types.

Search the internet for some pictures of the sheds and not many to be found. One of the railway stations I worked, the fettler shed doors where the trolleys were kept wasn't a solid door by way wooden slats and wire so could see the trolleys in side when door closed.

Anyone want to go fishing?

I hijacked a fishing boat from the Fish Set and added some trawling gear to it.

The reefs are a bit square looking until I do some more later. Guess can call it square or box reef for the time being.

Hope to release all 4 object sets and AuzInd160 on Bananas in the next few hours if all goes well.

With them being only 1 tile wide instead of 2 or more they fit a lot better ..

Glad you like them ..

Still more ideas to add but hope this weekend I can have a break from coding and graphics work and have a play. Next week if all goes well get back to making the bridges.

There has been talk about having a railway station above ground level.

I been experimenting with putting a station on a bridge.

The bridge belongs to wallyweb "Urban Transit System Bridge" and the platforms from Quats65's Dutch Station Sets.

The platforms on the bridge are fake objects that you place at the base of the bridge. Should also work with the brick bridges as well.

Only the platform off the far end of the bridge is actual. Train is told to stop far end of platform and the carriages hang over the other platforms as if using them too.

Train coming back the other direction unfortunately that a different story engine stopped at real platform and carriages didn't use any platform.

I made the platforms on the bridge overlap so a road could stil pass under the bridge in some locations.

Graphics still need work but before I try any more see what you all think.

Quast65 these are your platforms I using .. hope ok I keep experimenting using your babies.

You never cease to amaze me with your ideas!!! :bow:
This combination of objects with Wally's bridge actually looks very good!
The idea of placing an actual stationtile on the ends (where the engine stops) and thus making the carriages stop at the fake platforms really works, the only thing I would like to suggest is that you should not make the stationtiles on the ends of the bridge part of the same station.
That way you can order a train to stop at the correct platform (to get the right visual effect of the carriages stopping at the fake platforms), depending on its direction.

Using the Dutch platforms is no problem at all, they are not my babies, but rather more my adopted children ;-) as these originate from the original Dutch Station Set, but they are all GPL-licensed, just as your GRFs, so you can use them any way you want!

Shall experiment some more. The platform should work on any bridge type especially the brick and those with no structure above the rails.

Keep in mind that in game, if a train is longer than a station (not including fake platforms) loading and unloading take much longer than when the train fits within the station.

I thought that might be the case .. that how it is in real as well so logic for that to happen. Those who play the game just for fun that wouldn't be much of a issue. But if play and need trains to keep moving to make money, especially when playing against others that would be a problem.

Maybe I should look at it another way .. the main platform will be reasonable long and the platforms on bridge just for show and just be a few platforms no more then 3 or 4 tiles long. Bridge just long enough for a road or a river to pass under.

When kids let me back on my computer later today (I hope) I do some more experimenting.

Also experimenting on water rapids .. the effects I've seen with dams might work with water slopes and give an effect if there is waterfall or rapids.

Been experimenting with rocks in snow and also adding rocks to the rocky creek tiles.

The reef I have in the Water Objects, I changed them so they will go on land, snow and water.

Wonder if those who like snow in their games like to try these and give me an opinion if they be ok.

Will then look at seeing if I can make slope snow aware rocks with a bit of white in them.

The rocky creeks have rocks in the water and tried to animate rapids on the creek and rocky creek slopes.

I been searching for snow and desert tiles and found some great sprites with these in OpenGFX+ Landscape.

I like to ask approval from Ingo von Borstel (aka planetmaker) and Alberth plus other listed in credits for OpenGFX+ Landscape if I can take some snow and desert from their Landscape to add to Auz_Landscape_Objects. This so those making scenarios of a country that has a mixture of snow, temperate and desert can make there scenario a bit more realistic.

I know its GP2 but I still like to ask if ever possible.
