Indeed. If the gameplay is as stunning as the graphics are, this might even be a good successor to Transport Tycoon.

It is still missing ships and airplanes and I have no idea how moddable Train Fever wil be. I had a quick look at their site but din't find any clues on modding the game.

Who needs ships and airplanes. Everybody knows trains rule and road vehicles are only there to support our train network

It's all looking good to me and it seems like they set a new standard there.

After the previous update with some very nice screenshots (which I forgot to post):
http://www.train-fever.com/2014/04/new- ... -vehicles/

a new update about modelling and animation has just come online:
http://www.train-fever.com/

Based on the info provided about the Class 75.4 Baden VI C, it seems they won't take tractive effort into account, but the models look great! :)

A short video has been posted:
http://www.train-fever.com/

They are really showing of:
- maps up to 16x16km
- detailed towns with people moving around (cars will be included too, but aren't showed in the video yet)
- some basic industry (lumber, coal, iron, goods, oil) (I hope this will be expanded later with mods or an expansion pack)
- advanced and realistic track system including parallel tracks, curved bridges, curved parallel road crossings and switches where you want them.

Now it is waiting for the signalling system.
If that will be as good as the rest, this game might become the new transport standard!
Really looking forward to it :D
(Sorry if my post seems a bit too much like a commercial, but I'm just very excited about this game)

The site says they will path signals similar to OpenTTD. Sounds promising. I really like the track laying, if I am to judge from the video online. I've got a train fever and the only prescription is more cowbell.

Yeah, signals for me are the crucial factor right now as well. Don't think it'll really replace OTTD for me, but! nonetheless it looks great; featuring lots of things that are impossible in OTTD ;)

The latest video makes this looks pretty close to ready... i'm getting excited!

I'll be honest Pryro and say i find signals a bore these days. If they are there by inferrence i'll be happy.

Not sure how much "more than 50 vehicles" is, but if it's not too much more than 50 it won't be enough for 170 years.

Sounds like more than the standard O/TTD sets have. Mh. Naw, not something I'm very worried about. More vehicles can always be added, what's important are the underlaying elements ^^

Do wagons count as "vehicles"?

Things like "more than 50 vehicles" kinda get me the feeling there's 51 vehicles.

Yeah, that's quite a high price. I'll wait for a sale, unless the demo is so good it can convince me to buy it for the full price. :P

22 quid is fine. Do the hours play /£ calculation. I reckon civ 5 cost 0.08p/h :p

Is it windows only?

Edit: it's only £18 ATM. And runs on Linux.

Still a bit steep for what it is!

18 quid for a the first decent looking 3d ttdx-esque game is perfectly reasonable. I paid more than that for 3D TTT! Consoles games are 50 and most recent PC games are nearer 30. I'm getting the day off work to play this.

If people don't buy this it will be another 15 years before a another decent transport management game... Of course this is assuming its any good!
