[OTTD] Brundd's screenshots (Netherlands game)
Re: [OTTD] Brundd's screenshots (Netherlands game)
What station set are you using, the concept seems similar to BMSS, but clearly isnt as that hasnt been released ^^
Re: [OTTD] Brundd's screenshots (Netherlands game)
I don't know which set belongs to the platforms I use most of the time. But it's somewhere between 'Platforms' and 'Project-NameNotDecidedOn'. Or it might also be 'Modern Suburban Stations'.Leanden wrote:What station set are you using, the concept seems similar to BMSS, but clearly isnt as that hasnt been released ^^
What is BMSS? Because I'm always interested in new platforms

Lovely screenshots Brundd
BMSS is a set I am developing called British Modular Stations Set, no release yet though I'm afraid. There is a topic in graphics development.
Leanden, it's an old PGS grf which appears in the list as City Stations.

Re: [OTTD] Brundd's screenshots (Netherlands game)
Lately i've starting to make some good progress again. I build the whole Belgium network and now i'm adding all the trains one by one (894 trains at the moment).
Some pics:
1: Antwerp, very inefficient junction between Berchem and Centraal, but no way to improve it due to lack of space
2: Mechelen, not very special or anything.
3: Brussels, just like in real life there's gonna be a real shortage in capacity between Brussels North and Brussels South

Re: [OTTD] Brundd's screenshots (Netherlands game)
Wow I really like the realistic placements of all the Brussels stations.
What plans is it based upon ?

Re: [OTTD] Brundd's screenshots (Netherlands game)
I always use a number of different sites to determine the placement of all the stations:
- http://www.bueker.net/trainspotting/map ... enelux.gif (great site for railway maps!)
- Google maps
- The site of the national railway company

Looks great, I can't wait to see the bigger region completed!

Have a look at sporenplan. They have detailed schematic railway maps of the netherlands and lots of other countriesBrundd wrote:I always use a number of different sites to determine the placement of all the stations:

Thanks for the link!
But unfortunately it is impossible to copy the exact track layout due to the scale of the map.

Re: [OTTD] Brundd's screenshots (Netherlands game)
Added some new trains today:
IC G: Antwerp-Ghent-Bruges-Ostend (6 trains)
IC P: Antwerp-Ghent (4 trains)
Next trains to be added:
L 2600: Antwerp-Lokeren
L 2500: Antwerp-Puurs
Does anyone understand why the train in pic#3 won't pass the signal?

Re: [OTTD] Brundd's screenshots (Netherlands game)
You might want to check the Top 2 Signals.
Re: [OTTD] Brundd's screenshots (Netherlands game)
The 2 top signals are correct ofcourse.
Re: [OTTD] Brundd's screenshots (Netherlands game)
Is it all Electrified.
Re: [OTTD] Brundd's screenshots (Netherlands game)
Another interesting thing, if I remove that one piece (shown in white) in the screen, there is suddenly a free path

Re: [OTTD] Brundd's screenshots (Netherlands game)
I think it have something to do with the "waypoint" order just before the station, i believe the train try to reach a "waypoint tile" that was free at the time the orders triggered... but i could be wrong too.

Re: [OTTD] Brundd's screenshots (Netherlands game)
Maybe try to swap the signals and the waypoint tiles and see what happen, in that case all of the waypoints could be reached in the same signal block and the route generator could generate anorher way.
Re: [OTTD] Brundd's screenshots (Netherlands game)
Interesting theory, it would certainly explain the problem.romazoon wrote:I think it have something to do with the "waypoint" order just before the station, i believe the train try to reach a "waypoint tile" that was free at the time the orders triggered... but i could be wrong too.
But I did some simpe tests and those turned out fine.
I'm not a fan of putting waypoints at stations in a different signal block as the station itself.Maybe try to swap the signals and the waypoint tiles and see what happen, in that case all of the waypoints could be reached in the same signal block and the route generator could generate anorher way.
Just to be clear, in my game there are more stations like this one, but there is never a problem.
