ISR/DWE style dock and objects, Version 1.1 released

Re: ISR style dock and objects, Version 1.4 released
Well, there are some buildings in your set that can do the trick. You would only have to change them into single pipe buildings (would be a nice little addition to the DWE set)

Re: ISR style dock and objects, Version 1.4 released
This is what I eventually had in mind for my Truck & Bus Lots NewGRF, and not just for stops but for the depots as well.Quast65 wrote:As far as I know it is yet only possible to change all truck/bus-stops in a game, they don't work like stationtiles. So you can't have different styles of stops in a game.
There is only one possibility and that is to draw an universal truck/bus-stop set that has no buildings on it and then overlap them, like I did with the docks.

Re: ISR style dock and objects, Version 1.4 released
I have recently downloaded the GRFs for this but i can only get the 1 dock with the station on it. how do I get the full dock like the pictures?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: ISR style dock and objects, Version 1.4 released
Have you downloaded both grf's?
One GRF changes the normal dock to one with a watertile and an empty ISR tile (or others via parameter)
ISRdock: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... 5#p1010565
The other one provides new objects that can be used to overlap that empty ISR tile, they can be found in the new objects menu.
ISRobjects: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... 1#p1034241
Make sure you use the newest version (1.4)
Let me know if you are still having problems. Also try them out in a new game first, adding grf's to an existing game may cause problems.

Re: ISR style dock and objects, Version 1.4 released
Thanks for the quick reply. sorry for my delay though.
The List I have for GRfs are:
ISR-style Objects v1.4
ISR-style dock V1.1
ISR-style objects v1.0
ISr-style Overlapping Objects v.10
I think its the parameters that I don't understand

Re: ISR style dock and objects, Version 1.4 released
these are not real "docks", so they are not found in the ship menu, but in the landscaping menu as "objects".
Re: ISR style dock and objects, Version 1.4 released
There might be a couple of problems that may cause your issue if you are using all of those grf's in one game:
ISR style objects v1.0 and ISR style Overlapping objects V1.0 are obsolete. Only use ISR-style objects 1.4 (that version has the overlapping objects integrated in it), as these grf's takes up a lot of object-ID's it may be the cause of your problem with some objects not showing up in the menu.
Isr-style dock should as default change the normal dock into an ISR-tile with a watertile next to it. Doublecheck the parameter settings and if any parameters are set, just click reset.
I hope this helps. But be very aware that adding these grf's in a running game may cause serious troubles. Please be sure to use them in a new game!

Re: ISR style dock and objects, Version 1.4 released
Thanks Eddi. I have found the docks. Did not think to look in landscaping.
And thanks Quast65 for the efforts in adding this to the game. Now my docks will not look boring

Re: ISR style dock and objects, Version 1.4 released
Seeing as this set has (brilliantly) made a 'hack' to allow road vehicles to drive through newobject tiles - do you think the same hack can be used to allow vehicles under my cable car wires?
Would there be major clipping errors because of the pylons?
Re: ISR style dock and objects, Version 1.4 released
clipping errors should not happen as long as you set the bounding box appropriately. it only gets problematic if you exceed 128 pixels height or so (some TTRS scyscrapers do that)
Re: ISR style dock and objects, Version 1.4 released
Wow. I didn't play for a lot of time, and now I'm discovering all that new stuff, including this new set. This is amazingly pretty.

Sure, it could work the same way as the Motorway Gantries from the Dutch Road Furniture Set.SwissFan91 wrote:Seeing as this set has (brilliantly) made a 'hack' to allow road vehicles to drive through newobject tiles - do you think the same hack can be used to allow vehicles under my cable car wires?

Re: ISR style dock and objects, Version 1.4 released
As multiple servers seem to have interest in this, would you mind putting it on bananas so they can actually use it?

Re: ISR style dock and objects, Version 1.4 released
Not yet... It needs a total overhaul, because I used wrong palettes and I want to recode it so that it uses a lot fewer object-ID's.
When that is done I will put it on Bananas, but that will take some time.

Re: ISR style dock and objects, Version 1.4 released
Don't you rather think that those two reasons you give are a good argument in favour of making the existing version available to a larger audience? After all, there's *always* something which urgently needs fixing or re-doing in a "better" way. And it will make sure that you get more valuable feedback (and screenshots).Quast65 wrote:Not yet... Just wondering
