This probably was asked before but I could not find the answer.
I have a savegame which was created before I discovered Total Town Replacement.
I have it installed now and it works for new games.
Is there a way I can "upgrade" my savegame to use TTR?

The short answer is No. You are not meant to add newGRFs to existing savegames since it would frequently cause trouble. If you want to get into the trouble of adding it anyway, there are ways and the FAQ is a good place to start.

The best answer is "No.", all NewGRFs should be loaded before you start a game, and once you start it you can't change anything.
The correct answer is, "Yes, BUT... doing so may cause your save game to become unstable, introduce glitches, cause incorrect behavior, and otherwise completely corrupt your game. Especially since TTRS does more than just replace buildings, it's not advisable to modify your game. If you still want to do this, search for enabling the Scenario Developer mode.

The issues often come subtley and come later when you've invested further hours into gameplay. TTRS is also an industry set and likely will mess with cargoes. Thus you might end up with stuff which you might not even be able to transport, or two cargoes with the same name or stuff. Lucky, if that doesn't happen The savegame is doomed, if it does and no-one will be able fix that, if it does. You had been warned, though.tenox wrote:Hey it worked, no issues.

This particular map/savegame is only air travel for passengers. I don't see any issues so far, but the game looks much better visually.
