Get a train into town tommorow instead of the bus

Also, it seems GMail is not a fan of our dear Mr. Rudge!

My email accounts have been known to spam the worst possible emails. Usually confirmation messages from a new professor.Gmail wrote:Why is this message in Spam? We've found that lots of messages from aslan.zernebok.com are spam.
Actually, my personal email hasn't let me in for about a month. It claims not to exist.

Re: The Thread Of Randomness
Yeah, it causes a whole heap of trouble for me, cause I have loads of sites hosted with orudge/Zernebok, and gmail is convinced his server is a hub of spam.Zakos wrote:My email accounts have been known to spam the worst possible emails. Re: The Thread Of Randomness
Hmm, that is to do with your own hosting account, rather than TT-Forums. Still concerning, though. There have been incidents with people getting hacked and spam getting out, but obviously we try to minimise the damage caused.Redirect Left wrote:Also, it seems GMail is not a fan of our dear Mr. Rudge!GMail wrote: Why is this message in Spam? Re: The Thread Of Randomness
You'd think that Gmail could be trained to accept those emails. One of my teachers spams us with emails and his conversations are now automatically marked as "not important."
Re: The Thread Of Randomness
Hosts that are added to a spam blacklist tend to have trouble getting of them again. Quite a few interesting article about the questionable policies of such lists around. ^^;

Oh really? I thought it would be the entire of the Aslan server that suffered that fate in GMail, as opposed to just mail sent from my account specifically?orudge wrote:Hmm, that is to do with your own hosting account, rather than TT-Forums. That makes it an even bigger balls up for me

Plus then you'll be "financially stable" and chances are, miserable.
Much as wives and children can be pains in the arse, we also love them, and love is really the only point to anything.

Re: The Thread Of Randomness
Yes, sorry, that's what I mean - the issue is your hosting server rather than the TT-Forums server. Unfortunately it can be difficult to get such issues rectified with big faceless companies such as Google and Microsoft.Redirect Left wrote:Oh really? Re: The Thread Of Randomness
Agree. However, it's good to have a surrogate goal in life if love isn't around for a while. Otherwise it goes from bad to worse.SquireJames wrote:Much as wives and children can be pains in the arse, we also love them, and love is really the only point to anything.
Rolling back to what started this discussion, I'd never want to go back in time. Sure, times of high school were cool, but let's try to stick to what's around and build something stable here now, rather than waste time dwelling on memories of long gone glory.

Ah fair enough. I'll just be sure to keep checking the spam folder, and see if constantly marking it as non spam will make them get the idea...orudge wrote:Yes, sorry, that's what I mean - the issue is your hosting server rather than the TT-Forums server. I hate having to decide between sleeping well and being productive. I wouldn't mind doing both for once.
