cant adjust servicing interval..
My trains break down constantly now.. its stuck at 16.000days which is a redicilous high number. cant go neither up nor down...
how do i fix that?
how do i fix that?
This is set that way so the trains don't go to the depot automatically and get confused. You can tell them to go to a depot at a convenient point in their route, by clicking on the depot in the Orders list just as if it were a station. Or you can design the tracks so the trains HAVE to pass through depots on their way.
Do you have the Configurator? This makes it easy to change the settings if you don't like the defaults. For instance I don't use the 16000 setting, I leave it at the default.

And the only way i can make em pass through the depots automatically is to place em behind stations right?

it can be configured, just delete the switch from the .cfg, then you can change it in the train properties window

1) it only happen with new vehicles
2) not delete, only change ! for example (change it from 16000 to 1000)
3) take a look at http://wiki.ttdpatch.net, and into MANUAL ... there is explained everything

what are you looking at? it's a signature!
It doesn't work that way. Two suggestions:TTdx rocks wrote:i just tried deleting the
"// `servint' (-i) allows to change the initial service interval for new engines. Range 1..32000. Default 16000.
servint 16000"
from the ttdpatch.cfg but i still cant change it
1. Change it to read "180" (or some other convenient time) instead of 16000
2. GET THE CONFIGURATOR. This gives you a nice slide-bar to easily set it however you please, or disable it entirely.

Go to the Patch website and look under Tools.
The Configurator is more than handy, it's essential. It also automatically updates both itself and the Patch, so you're always up-to-date. The only thing it doesn't get for you is updated GRF files, but it announces them to you so you know to go get them.

No, it's a hack - 16,000 days means don't ever automatically go to a depot. That is fine if you set breakdowns to off, or if you've designed your network and orders so the trains get serviced as part of their normal route.TTdx rocks wrote:And is it just me or is 16.000 days a completely wacked number?? Thats like 43,xx years.. no trains last that long without a couple of thousand breakdowns

Either you have to start a new game, or you have to buy a new loco. Try those and see what happens.
