still problems with ttdx and w2k

Post by tomas3000 »

I installed the ttdpatch and copied my cdrom to the hard disk in the same directory.
When I start the game with ttdpatch.exe, a "DOS-link-window" appears with some lines of text (like known from my old DOS-Computer). Next, the start-screen should appear (with the trains going around and a window with options in front), but only a blank full-screen-sized "window" appears. It not a window because I can not see elements of windows2k. I see that my computer is working, but it is working quite long and nothing happens on my screen. What do I have done wrong?
Please help me,
greetings, tomas

You need the windows version of TTDX, and then the windows version of the patch and the win2k switch enabled.
There is a thread here on how you download the windows version.

i thought it would also be possible to run the old DOS-Version of ttdx on W2K?
On
http://www.ttdpatch.net/
I can download a patch for windows version of ttdx and one for the dos version.
So I downloaded the DOS-Version one and hoped it will run.

Dos version simply can't be used on win2k becouse it's not compitable.
download win version of the patch and Win version of TTD in one pack from this site: http://ttdlxhq.6x.to/
go to downloads and click the diskette icon near a th first descripton with Game caption in the top and MUST-HAVE in the bottom

From vich country are you?(my real name is Tomas)

an other problem occured: When I deliver coal to a power station, the coal is unloaded there and only lies at the station instead of my train earning money for the delivery. Why?
Is the downloaded game compatible with the new patches? trains seem especially german to me.
