Did you also read the warning on that page?

The method of loading 32bpp graphics changed in OpenTTD 1.2.0. The content on this section does not apply to OpenTTD 1.2.0 or newer.
Rather get and use zBase and maybe OpenGFX+Trains and egrvts2 as described on http://wiki.openttd.org/List_of_32bpp_NewGRFs

Note that zbase is a work in progress, and therefore you will not get all sprites in 32bpp, but it's progressing nicely :D

So what did you do so far, what did you expect to happen, what happened, and why is that stopping you from making further progress??

(we cannot look over your shoulder to see what you did or did not do, you'll have to tell us that.)

The only one of those which should work in 1.2.1 is zBase. None of them will work in 1.1, the tar files need a specially patched version which is outdated.

If you place zBase in OpenTTD/baseset/ and then select it in the Game Options menu (in 1.2.1), it should work.

Hold on - zBase is a baseset ? Last I hear somewhere its a NewGRF ? (and so replace the baseset in FLHerne post with data, then add in just like any other NewGRF in OTTD)

I really suggest to get your facts right before posting more mis-leading "help".

zBase is a base set. Basesets go into the baseset folder
NewGRFs go - wonder oh wonder - into the newgrf folder

There is no data folder (anymore). Please read and digest http://vcs.openttd.org/svn/browser/tags ... e.txt#L299

So with zbase in baseset folder is little little better.
Now in 32bpp there is some bulding, fences rail road, industries, some road veichles, wagons but NOT train...

I downloaed some tar file from here http://wiki.openttd.org/32bpp_Extra_Zoom_Levels_Files - but the buldings of the cities does not change

And where can i download the locomotive in 32bpp?

Is there for example a pack for road veichels, locomotive, wagons, airplane, ships????

Sorry, i downloaded many tar and may be they aren't good for me and version 1.2.1

I'm crazying among all tar files....

Thank you so much for help me....

Ok. once more for the slow learners:

The old TARs cannot be used anymore.
The new Baseset is not complete yet.

No, you misunderstood :P . The tar files only work in an unstable, patched version that was not officially released. They do not work in any officially-released OpenTTD version.

I Downloaed new zbase r104 and i saw more buildings with 32bit.

All wagons are 32bit but not locomotive...

All veichels are 32bit but not the bus...

I hope to see great zbase in the future...

Well, actually...
OpenGFX+ Trains has many (but not all yet) trains in 32bpp EZ. GRVTS has a range of road vehicles and trams. Both are NewGRFs; they should go in the newgrf subfolder and then selected from the NewGRF Settings menu before starting a new game. OGFX+trains should be unzipped but not untarred, IIRC.

Should you not also change the blitter in the openttd.cfg file to optimise 32bpp?

I think the 32bpp GRFs tell OTTD they want a 32bpp blitter, so this probably isn't required.

Sorry FLHerne, where can i put This files?
I must create a new folder call "NewGRF" in baseset, where is the zbase?

In options game, the base graphics packege is zbase... If change in openGFX change everything

Then, somebody tells me that tar files does not work. Where i put this file?

Thank you so much FLHerne.
