U.S. Mid West Scenarios
U.S. Mid West Scenarios
I recently found an unfinished scenario made a few years ago. The scenario features the area from Chicago to Detroit, and is in the old, small format. I have updated it on OTTD. I will attach it in a variety of forms so that anyone can play. The first attachment is in the previous 1.0.5 version.

Re: U.S. Mid West Scenarios
This is another Mid West scenario I was working on a few years ago. I did a basic map using the map making tool, then carved the rivers by hand. That was tedious, so I didn't finish the job. This one is centered on the upper Mississippi River Valley. I will attach a version with no GRFs [NG] and one with GRFs that will also have a GRF list. Both versions have towns and cities in approximately correct locations, and both are OTT version 1.0.5. Feel free to modify to your hearts content. Aerial View from 1975 provided.

Another old, hand-made Midwest scenario. Feel free to modify at will, it was made on OTTD v 1.0.5 and no GRFs are loaded.

Re: U.S. Mid West Scenarios
Interesting idea, thanks,
Well, as far as climate is concerned, the Upper Midwest is "Continental" like much of Canada. I didn't think snow would work in temperate climate, I tried to use it but it did nothing so I dismissed the thought. I had thought about remaking the Scenario in subarctic mode though. Thanks for the suggestion.
I have actually been busy, OTTD-wise, experimenting with and posting on the Spain Set. That is one amazing set/C'est un amusement incroyable! I wonder if that has been designed to work in the desert tropical climate. Knowing what Spain's weather is like the sub-arctic is probably out of the question.
Good to hear from you again.
Merry Christmas/Joyeux Noël,

Re: U.S. Mid West Scenarios
Aye ... and a very Merry Christmas to you.
In OTTD, the temperate climate currently does not do snow. TTDP does do it. Perhaps there is a way to convert the map. Someone with more OTTD experience than I would have to do it. I can do it in TTDP. It helps that these are scenarios and there is no rolling stock as yet nor are there game statistics to break. Definitely not something to do to a game in progress.

Does this mean that your original is in TTDP format? If yes and you PM it to me I can get you into the Arctic, fur coats optional.I have updated it on OTTD

Re: U.S. Mid West Scenarios
In addition to the previous scenario, I discovered other ones from the same area, The Great Lakes.
This first one is not my work, so I will post the location but no scenario or game in progress.

This next one is definitely my work. It was dated and left unfinished in 2007. It shows the surveyor's marks I used when hand-making scenarios back in the day.
For this one I will, when time permits, upload a blank scenario and a game in progress.
