"blank" tree grf?

Post by joedymueller »

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a way to not see the "wild" trees that grow, not the pine squares that grow for profit.

after so many years there are just way to many trees and it makes it hard to see anything.

so is there a grf that replaces the tree graphics with blank spaces? or a way in the game to mass remove all of the trees?

thanks

OpenTTD right? You don't need a GRF.

Go to Transparency Options (CTRL + X) and click the tree icon to turn them transparent, or use the toggle button below to turn them off completely. Also you can press "x" as the short cut to toggle transparency.

You can also in the transparency menu Ctrl+click the tree icon to lock it into the invisible (or transparent) state so that using 'x' won't toggle them.

Well... there's http://wiki.openttd.org/Hidden_features - but that's probably not entirely complete. Feel free to amend it though. The tooltips for each button whereever it is in the gui should tell you about the effect of ctrl, if it has any.

Another approach may be the lumber mill which chops trees, at least in the tropical climate

And in temperate and arctic, if you have the right lumber mill.
