TTDX editor doesn't work with alpha 8 savegames

1.) Why does the ttdx editor not work on ttdx configurator saved games?

2.) why when I download a saved game from this forum it does not load?
am I downloading a windows version ( I use Dos )..


(and b4 you mods get on here banging on about searching for the answer's to which I am looking for....do yourself a favour and try doing a search yourself? I have and get nowhere hence this post)

If you're using the latese alpha, it's the super-huge stations doing it.

Savegame Editors: They will break because of a new format for really huge stations, if you only have max 7x7 stations, you can use editors...

Win/Dos savegames both work in either version so I don't know about 2).

I am using the latest patch and I only use 7x7 stations?

I cant get my industries to produce more to warrant a bigger station

No need to get aggressive, if you said you searched and didn't find it then ok

But Owen who is maintaining the editor has dissapeared from the Earth, he hasn't been here since november 18th
So unless he gets back, your question can't be answered

It gives an error while loading

I need to update the editor to make it work with the updated saved game format: I haven't had the chance to look into this yet.
