Network-Game Synchronization Failed

Post by Giraffe »

I have the latest version of OpenTTD (1.0.4) and have all the necessary NewGRF Settings but whenever I try to join ANY server, I get that error message... Anyone have any idea as to what this could be?

That is a desync
That is a serious bug in OTTD

Where did you download OpenTTD from? If not from openttd.org than redownload it from there and try again.

I downloaded it from the official OpenTTD website. The server I tried joining was Luke's (Something)

You mean "Luukland" with something? And by "any server" you mean any of the other servers of Luukland? In that case there is nothing we can do for you. Luukland runs a heavily modified, unsupported, server for which we don't have the sources and as such we do not support them. Complain about this issue at Luukland's place.

No, I mean any other server that was showing up, not just Luke

Does it also happen when you join the #openttdcoop welcome server?
(Any goal server is more or less heavily modded and doesn't really count as 1.0.4 in this respect)

How do I join #openttdcoop? I think this would be easier if we talked in realtime so that we can experiment with different settings (if you have time, of course). I am available on xfire: bambot

You can do that by clicking the chat button on the top of the page.
