I once played a game (OTTD 1.0.1) with several UK sets. And (quite surprisingly, actually) I found several decent road vehicles like the RTL bus, a container truck, etc. addionally to the standard vehicles.
Now I'm trying to make a map with the DBSetXL, but I'm unable to find the necessary set to get these vehicles into it. Maybe someone here knows what I'm talking about and which GRF-set is the right one.
