Three things
Hello!
Im new to this forum so if i make any mistakes please tell me about them.
Firstly i would like to say thank you for a remake of this great game. I was literally amazed to see it in my languange! I played TTD before but now that i found about OTTD i downloaded it and now im going to play again. There are so many features which i don't even understand although the game is translated into my languange. I came to the forums because i have some problems.
1. I am missing the original music from this game. How can i find it / put it back into to the game?
2. No matter how much supplies of fruits, corn and other stuff i bring into a factory it doesn't make any products. Whats wrong?
Thanks for your answers!
Have a nice day!

Re: Three things
1. Copy the gm folder from your TTD cd to your OpenTTD dir. IIRC it should not be placed in the data directory, but in the root dir of OpenTTD. See the readme for more information.
Then in the game, go to game options and select original music as music pack. Start a game and open the audio controls from the one to the left of the far right button in the tool/menu bar (upper bar in OpenTTD). In the audio/music controls, make sure you set the music volume to anything else than zero.
Alternatively you can get the new free music pack from BaNaNaS, and then as above go to game options and then the audio/music controls.
2. Do you use any NewGRFs?

Have you sent a goods vehicle to a station near the factory? Goods won't appear at a station until a vehicle has arrived at a station within the catchment area of the factory.Tiki King wrote:Hello!

And don't use transfer or explicit unload orders. Just send the train to the station where it should unload.

And if those suggestions don't help, a screenshot (ctrl+s) + save game could help figuring out what is wrong.

Zuu thanks i apprectiate your time for posting your reply.
But can you explain it a little easier? Im not a PC wiz and for the record i don't own original TTD, i downloaded it ages ago, than deleted it and now i downloaded OTTD. So a simple step by step explanation will be perfect in my case if you can give it to me.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Three things
What type of train car / truck do i need for Factory goods?
Re: Three things
Have you tried reading the readme? It's not for nothing I refered you to it.
If you don't have the original TTD cd you either have to buy it or find out how to obtain it yourself. It's nothing I can help you with as that would be against the law.
Regarding the wagons, you need a goods wagon if you want to carry goods from the factory.

Aaa comeon... It can't be that illegal... I mean you get everything for free on the internet today! You get games that came out 1 week ago on internet today. What about if i Burn a CD with a TTD i found on internet? Will that work?
And where do i find README?

Re: Three things
This is what i got from the Readme:
4.1.3) Original Transport Tycoon Deluxe music
------ --------------------------------------
If you want the TTD music, copy the gm/ folder from the Windows version
of TTD to your OpenTTD folder (not your data folder - also explained in
the following sections). The music from the DOS version does not work.
Ill just download TTD and find that GM folder, but i didn't get the following part: "...to your OpenTTD folder..."
Which folder is that?

Re: Three things
The folder the file named "openttd.exe" is in. "Installed" is a bit misleading here, as you do not need to use an installer for OpenTTD.
And about that "can't be that illegal"... it definitely is. You might as well say "I can buy a knife and kill someone with it, so that can't be THAT illegal." Either yes or no.

Re: Three things
Yeah but there is already a GM folder in instalation folder. If i copy the one from TTD and than click paste inside OTTD instalation folder it asks me if i want to Replace it. I Don't want to replace it, i want to keep both types of music.
So what do I do?
PLEASE HELP!

Re: Three things
Copy the files from inside one folder to inside the other, obviously?

Re: Three things
Well it won't work... The music files of OTTD are .mid files while the music files from the TTD are .gm files.

Re: Three things
you should put the original ttd music in the gm folder, not the opensfx folder, it works for me
it also looks like you are missing the orig_win.obm file

Re: Three things
Ok so i moved those files from opensfx folder to gm folder and in gm folder is this file you said it was missing: orig_win.obm so it isn't missing. But is still doesn't seem to work...

WOW I FIGURED IT OUT!!! WOO HOO!!! IT WORKS!
But i have one last question.
Is it possibile to combine all songs to one large playlist(old and new songs)? Cuz that would be great and that was my final goal. If not its ok than anyway as long as i have old songs! XD
