Title Screen Saved Game
Hi there,
I would like to explore the saved game behind the title screen when openTTD 0.7.0 loads.
Does anyone have a copy of the saved game or have a link to where I might find it.
I've tried google, FAQ and downloads.
Any information is welcome

more precisely opntitle.dat
which is found in the data directory relative to the place you find your executable, too.

Re: Title Screen Saved Game
The same way (only in reverse) you can make yourself a new title screen btw
Note that the savegame you use should not include any newGrfs, or weird things may happen if you delete those newgrfs...

Re: Title Screen Saved Game
Oh yes, I do.
I recently just dug out all the savegames posted there (only the ones w/o newgrf). It kinda motivated me to start my own Feature-Show-off game (heavily cheated) and not yet in the form it's supposed to get. But as a teaser:

Liking the dead-end monorail at the top.
I'm going to have to do this - do you need to build the part you want as the title in the dead centre of the map, or similar?
Wasn't there a patch which would jump between parts of a map at random as the title screen?

No. The view is the same as when you save the game.audigex wrote:I'm going to have to do this - do you need to build the part you want as the title in the dead centre of the map, or similar?

Yes, that will be done in due time. It's still work in progressaudigex wrote:Liking the dead-end monorail at the top.

The view is the same as when saved. And a patch with that exists somewhere in the development subforum, dunno the name anymore, though.

Re: Title Screen Saved Game
Yup, I did such a patch, but not randomly jumping but jumping through the list of signs so you could specify where it should jump to.

Re: Title Screen Saved Game
I'll use this thread to post the result as my titlescreen game looks like now.
I didn't play this game for the most advanced network or for the most profit but in order to show as much of the possibilities and variety of what plain OpenTTD offers. I use it also as my (tropical) OpenGFX test game.
Minimum version which loads the savegame is around r16743.

Re: Title Screen Saved Game
in the latest OpenTTD the filename's called "opntitle.dat" (in the DATA folder).
