Post by UKG »

Hey

Has anyone compiled a version of OTTD for Mac with the 32bpp Graphics + Extra Zoom Levels

Please excuse my lack of knowledge how to get this working i just enjoy playing the game and dont have a clue about how to do this (but if anyone can explain how i would do this i will give it a try, got a bit confused with the instructions adding tars and changing the cfg file which i tried but i must of done something wrong because it didnt work :( )

Thanks in advance :) :)

32bpp is in trunk, e.g. in any version of OpenTTD which I played. you have to enable it by editing the config in the right place of by giving the correct command line parameter. Instruction are a bit hidden, but in the manual: http://wiki.openttd.org/Playing_with_32bpp_graphics
got a bit confused with the instructions adding tars and changing the cfg file which i tried but i must of done something wrong because it didnt work :( )
Sorry to say so: That's not an error description and based on those information we cannot help you further. We don't know what you did, how you tried to achieve your aim, we don't know what you expected to see at which step and we don't know what you saw and how that differed from your expectations. See my signature on how to post a good bug (or error) report in general or asking such question.

An extra zoom level, btw, is not provided by default. In order to use that you'd need to patch the game yourself and compile it with the appropriate patch. That might not even be up to date.
