Post by burty »

Hey,

Firstly hi to everyone that helps out with the 32Bpp graphics you guys and girls are doing an amazing job.
I have started working on the site a couple of nights ago and as i said in the organizing graphics post this is the official thread for the site of anyone would like to help me out please contact me, either in here or via PM/MSN preferably the PM/MSN then this thread does not get choked with offers of help.
I will also post here and on the site if i have to do any improvements that may affect the site in a way that would cause un-useabilty and any major improvements that are added will be post at the bottom of this post.
For the graphics people and those that know where other graphics are being hoarded away, not the ones on the wiki i am adding them allready as i need a few to test certain bits of the site, please can you post them in here with the following details:

Nothing as such, but with a site we/i can add things such as rating from the users, total downloads, downloads this week etc little features that as far as i can see the wiki lists do not and/or can not have, this would allow the graphics team to see which ones are favoured more, also on some where for whatever reason there is 2/3 of the same graphic but designed differently the votes/ranks can then goto decide which one to put as the "official" one.

It also allows the indivdiual artists to see how popular there graphic is and how many times it is downloaded which as i said the wiki either does not or can not do.

Nice would be a script which would generate a list of links to all files available files in given category (32 bpp, extra zoom levels...). Such list can be then put into any good download manager (free download manager for example) and downloaded automatically without need to click thousand times.

If you need help, just say. I'm experienced with PHP far more than with C++.

No, I meant plain list of absolute paths to files. Then you copy and paste this list into the download manager and it will download all files into given folder for you.

Holly sh%t!
There are a lot of graphics created for 32bpp, and most of them looking just great!
But for most of exhibited examples there are no download links to tar files...
I know, it's not all of more than 4000 sprites, but that was a big job to do all of this!
Well done, all of you, who create all of this small masterpieces!
