Does anybody know where I can get hold of the sounds an AWS in-cab unit makes as a .wav file or similar?

I'm pretty sure that if you ask across on uktrainsim.com forums you may be able to have better luck as they will obviously use them in the simulators.

Other than that you could try sounds from BVE trains or MSTS trains.
