Was this bridge released?

Post by Andrex »

The screenshot was at the Purno's New Bridge graphics thread.

Also, the Purno's bridge set does not feature a tubular bridge replacement. Where can I get a replacement for that, compatible with the dark pavement from TrafficSet?

Thanks in advance. 8)

I believe it was made by those guys who also made the Czech Railset, and stuff. I'd say check their website, tho it's probably in Czechian.

I don´t think it´s a "screenshot". Notice the incorrect ground tile grid lines below the right bridge.

Anyway, if it´s czech you should contact "minime".

It could be a mockup indeed. I find it quite strange the lower bridge would've been coded uncentered ( small-big-small-small-small in stead of small-small-big-small-small ), if you get what I mean.

It's a nice bridge though, I have to say.

Is that type of coding of bridges even possible (with two types of span as Purno mentioned)? It's relevant for a couple of bridges in the UK (I'm thinking of the Severn Crossing).

AFAIR, not really.

Mmh, let´s see. TTD´s bridges are always symmetrical, i.e.:

Code: Select all

-- length of the mid-part equal to 0
-0- length of the mid-part equal to 1
-0(23)1- length is an even number
 -0(23)4(23)1- length of the mid-part modulo 4 is 3
 -0(23)253(23)1- length of the mid-part modulo 4 is 1
(from an old discussion about bridge layouts on the TTD mailing list)

OK, feel free to merge the topic where it belongs.

Too bad the bridge wasn't released, the upper one is incredibly well done and realistic. :(

No can do. Merging impossible. Still, just so you know for next time, to avoid clutter ;)

Yep, that screen's a mockup - the bridge along with others will be part of the new release of Czech RoadSet. I'll have more info for you in a few days.

That's great! Please add option to set bits for compatibility with TrafficSet whenever possible, thanks.

I'm sorry, but it's impossible to create a roadset compatible with another roadset. The idea itself lacks logic

So there's no chance of the bridge set being released separately?

Yep, this is possible, but first must be released CSRoadSet itself.

Pretty please...can't you just release that bridge as a 'teaser' single grf? It's so damn good looking.

That would be the best thing to do... I'm not replacing my roadset just to get a single bridge!
