I came up with a (possibly) interesting idea, but i suspect that it might mean a lot of (re)coding.
But I know nothing of coding, so I'll lay my idea out for you to work on:
Rotating the game view 90 degrees.

the biggest problem is the gfx dont support it.

When playing the game, pick up your monitor and lay it on its side. Viola - the game is now ninety degrees turned from original. And if you turn it in the same direction again, or turn it twice from its original position, then you can envision yourself playing in Australia (since they are upside-down).
