how about a 4 lane high way were it duble the speed of the truck or somthing to the effect. mihgt be somthing cool to try.. would make it ezer for somepople to have one. alright thats my suggest

Highway suggests long distance travel. Long distance travel with road vehicles is terrible. I'm sure highways and motoways have been discussed before and nothing has come of it.

Since TTD throws realism out the window by letting road vehicles can travel at over 70 MPH in towns, what's to stop them traveling at 150 MPH on a highway? :lol:

how about 35 miles in towns and 60 on the highway or let the player who build the road deside

60 on the highway? :shock:

In Britain the legal maximum speed for motorways (as we call them) is 70 mph. But many drivers drive faster than 80 regardless.

Our Autobahnen (as we call them) are maximal limited to 120km/h (should be 75 mph), if they are limited :D if not you can test how fast your car is going.

Maybe you can set it according to the selected language (in multiplayer the server's language setting defines what speed)

You dont want to have it in dutch then; some speedways are 80Kmph (Mostly 100 to 120Kmph)

well i was just thinking maybe we could make long distisnce for trucks somthing usefull.. with a high way and HUGE maps it will help the ecomany ... city growth and just add a new flaver into the game... my biggist things is how do you keep the trucks from getting off at the wrong exit?

in my coutry the highways limit is 130km/h but I there is no reason to limit the speed in TT... if we limit it in the cities it would be more realistic but it would penalize the RVs which are not the best thing to anyway.

well if they add one way roads it would make it easyer to controll traffic patterns for your cars. less traffic jams and such. and you can do somthing like Highy way roads the oneway effects all users but if you put oneways roads other then a high way the oppents trucks dont have to fellow.

Zoney37: Based on what you made, I scribbled up this...just cause i was bored. Although parts of it are a bit lame, It made me realise there would be tonnes of stuff need doing/programming to make this work. Not shore of the game play advantages, but i would like to be able to build them if i want, casue I don't always just wanna be the richest guy in town.

ya somthing like that would be cool. the advatenges of that is you can have muitplue cars all going the same way. it alows slower trucks to pass more easly. and if done right and the speeds and pricing are agutsted maybe it would put road veichales back into the game... or even somthing worth using at all. if not to be used in the game.. map EDing a highway into a custom map would add a little flaver (sorry for the spellings)
