This was the small dos window I got when I started the game:

Press Escape to abort, or any other key to continue.
Unless I missed something along the way to remove or rename when starting the game.

Edit: Reading the very first line in the patch notes on the web page reveals the error is not fatal now. Yet from checking some games, the path-based signalling seems to have suddenly stopped working. That is, trains used to continue moving among each other when there was an open path. But with this patch, each train waits for the other to clear and decide who shall move next.
Error with latest version of patch (December 13th)...

pathbasedsignalling is no longer an experimentalfeature.
Useto write a new CFG with all the new switches properly commented.
