With TTRS, there are many reasons for tourists to visit a town: there is a hotel, a museum, Theatre, planetherium, cinema, old buildings, a Cathedral, shops and shopping center and for train spotters its a heaven to stay in a ttd town.

This is a relative easy one, its based on a equal sided triangle, first draw that, than just fill it with equal sided blocks, just have to calculate a little that its precise fitting.

May I dig out this topic? Thank you
It seems to me that less and less finished graphics appear recently (Well, it looks like that). So, I think it may be not a bad idea to make a monthly contest for graphics artists and reward the winner with the honorary title "artist of the month", so every winner could put the icon into his signature (like "best moderator 2006" icon for example). May be it would increase the amount of new graphics.
The rules of the contest could be very simple. Every artist may post his graphics (but only one thing a month) into this thread. If some wants, he can replace the previously posted one with a new one. On the 1-st day of the next month the voting for artists begins and goes one week. After a week the winner gets the award. At the same time (since 1-st day of the month) graphics for the next month are also collected for the next round.

What kind of twit would do that?

...oh.

Seriously though, thats a good idea. People have tendencies to half finish graphics, and release "tasters" and move onto another project, then get nothing done on any project.

It would be far better if artists and especially coders could work on one set at a time, and not divide their time.

Following up on Raichase's theme, perhaps the contest should be restricted to released grf's. There could be at least two categories ... single image grf and set grf.

But we are easily distracted by the shiny! Working on just one set is boring.

Rejected. Artists want fun!

OK, here´s my contribution for this month. It has been shown in another thread before.

It'd be good, but here is allways lack of both artists and coders... :(

And Michael, this is very nice! :D

I'll probably have no material for this week, but I'm working...

Which means they need to manage their time even more carefully!

It's okay when sets are getting completed, but it frustrates other members of a team when the coder or the main artist promises him/herself to too many sets, and no progress is made in any of them...

That's reason why I rejected jobs in several sets... :( I simply have no time to work on too much projects! And it's probably case with others too.

Looks like you're buying in to this. :D
Seeing as how this is your thread here's a suggestion for you:

Add the month and status to the title. e.g.
run for most of the month The TTD Artist Competition (March 2007 - Submissions)
run for 2nd to last week The TTD Artist Competition (March 2007 - Judging)
run for last weekThe TTD Artist Competition (March 2007 - Awards)

and have a moderizzle sticky the thread.

I know pretty sure I'm not gonna win, but lets get the winner some loosers

With this submission, I especially mean the horizontal view ( _ view ), of the 2cc version (upper one).

Okay! I'm in. Here's one that I've been messing around with for the last six months or so as a companion piece to the tower I drew for Captain_Kirk. It's based on Goodrich Castle in Wales, and I just really thought the semi-ruinous state was cool. I hope that everyone likes it.

Cheers!

It's very cool, though I know this isn't actually the right topic, may I comment that the rocky foundation doesn't really look TT-ish to me?
