That last picture is very clever Irish, and it really screams to me "realism".

However, all of your shots were great as usual, I just thought the last one deserved special mention.

I know this isn't much of a screenshot, but it just struck me, building this little station: firstly, how far TTDP has come from the original game; and secondly, how much easier it is to build complex, working, realistic trackwork in this game compared to just about anything else out there.

Some more screens. We're nearing the turn of the century and there are still more oddities here and there...

A picture of a system i developed to stop trains from blocking entrences to stations..

Basically, if both station platforms are occupied, the train will simply head to one of the avaible "yard" rails, then proceed to the station when a slot is free. This is meant for 3 trains only though, and with the setting that train can turn around only at the end of line. So 1 yard rail should be avaible if 2 station rails are used, and 1 yard rail is in use so the train from the station can leave, freeing a slot for the train in the "yard".

Interesting system. I must try it out sometime.

As promised, here is some update from my game. In the meantime, its 1933. the Redwood City Northern network has expanded quite a bit. Here are some pictures:

The current end of the line is Headwood. This town is an important Harbour, as there exists a ferry service from here to the Cartown on Ukala Island. Our tram is connecting those two important points.

some more.

In 1933, we have connected an oil well just north of Redwood City. The oil is bound for the reffinery of Buffalo Range, which we have seen before.

In order to join the mainline uphill, we have to make a crossing of the northbound passenger line seen in the above pictures. this crossing is done near the Redwood station, which starts to make this whole are a bit complicated. Especially with the added Coal-trains coming all the way down from Belmont as well.

sorry I lied. Found some more.

This is about the McAlpine & Co. A small company running some local trains and stuff. It is partially owned by RCN since the have been annoingly remodeling my carefully built landscape all over the place. Anyway the have started to build a shorttrack between Headwood and Plarbourne. I have helped them a bit in order to limit the damage of the landscape.

Good thing is, i found out that the trams from those guys can run also on my tracks. Good stuff...

A NARS work-in-progress shot.

A short TurboTrain screams out of Flontfield, where a refurbished FP7 is delivering gold to the bank. It will pass an incoming goods train, and a local passenger service stopped at a suburban station.
