Well! Very cool! Yes, we should code the MEC station that way, if for no other reason than to see what happens.

Ok, here's the completed C&NW single-level set (including regular coach, observation, and baggage cars). Note these are stainless steel cars. If you want me to do earlier versions of C&NW single-level cars (of the Pullman variety I think?) I'll need the appropriate sprites...

I don't think we need C&NW heavyweights, because we don't have any clearly C&NW steamers. The C&NW E8s, and their Metra successors would pull stainless streamliners or commuter coaches like you've drawn.

Thanks!

Thrakki I'm lovin' those C&NW cars. Good stuff!

I'm going to be out of the loop for a few days. Actually have to do some work for the job that I get paid for. Huh, imagine that! But I wanted to show you guys the progress on the Michigan Central Station. I have to admit, this was really, really fun to draw. Tried to make it look how it probably did in its heyday. So, ladies and gentlemen, live from the motor city, it's the MC5! Er, I mean the MCS...

Looks very nice :!: But perhaps the walls could use some more texture, like you did with the roofs?

Cool. But it is rather big for TTD Could you do it 3-4 floors lower?

1. That is absolutely gorgeous! And I even like the color.

2. I agree that it does seem awfully tall for TTD, but I'm concerned that shortening it will mess up its proportions. I dunno. Maybe give it a try and see what it looks like?

3. You are following the photo too closely. You can see where the doors are that lead out to the tracks. Originally they let out onto a second-floor concourse that was over all the tracks, with stairs leading down to each platform; this was torn down so double-stacked containers could use the track, after it was abandoned as a station. Also there would have been some extent of platform covers.

Looks great though!

Actually, those older heavyweights weren't just pulled by steamers:

Although I would agree it's true that steamers were the PRIMARY engines used to pull such cars...

Damn, Oz, you draw fast. And accurately. I'll bet you're glad stations don't require under-construction graphics, though!

C&NW Caboose livery coming soon...

It would be nice to have a parameter for those who want to use old heavyweight coaches on newer trains, its quite awful to see when game turns to a certain year, *bewm* all of sudden all my heavyweights are stainless steel, all done without me asking.

Even though realism is nice, it would be nice to have a option that disables on the fly livery overrides unless i re-buy the coaches myself..(that way i could finally have a Amtrack train pulling old Pullman coaches or other heavyweights cause of stock & money shortage, & a amtrack train pulling those pink coaches that GG1's get, or a Metra engine pulling both Metra & some amtrack liveried doubledeckers.

Nice station Oz, i think you should keep the proportions as is.

Yes, you are right, certainly diesels did pull heavyweights - but with livery overrides, I don't think we need to get into that level of detail.

I doubt theres anything on Earth that can change heavyweights to stainless steel on the fly..

Unless Humanity invented teleporters long time ago, and nobody knows about them.

Huh? When does this happen? It's not supposed to. Heavyweights stay heavyweights, UNLESS a.) you change the engine to a newer one that has a livery override, or b.) the engine autorenews, in which case the cars do too.
