A question comes in mind; is adding railset graphic pretty easy as well?
No, I'm afraid. :( Those sprites are scattered through the grf, it'd need more work to collect them in one png.

I'm seeing a lot of issues with narrow gauge tracks and new bridges.

Rather than describe them here I've included a save game featuring all ttdx bridges in all standard lengths plus longer bridges, in both N-S and E-W directions.

You should have patch a62 and I set up a simple grf file with new bridges, and the USSet for its bridges and the Canadian Set for its narrow gauge trains and of course the narrow gauge rails, with parameter 4.
They should all be the most recently available at this writing.

By simply turning the grf's on and off in game you can see the issues at a glance.

Revisiting this as no one seems to have followed up on my last post here.

This bridge set is excellent. Just one small issue:

Several sets now offer narrow gauge.

When will this bridge set support narrow gauge?

*adds to the long list of suggestions*
Make your bridgeset compatible with the US road set please. :)

EDIT:  I see you have mostly been inspired by European bridges. What the heck...compatibility with the US road set wouldn't be bad anyway.

I believe it already is.

*hehe*, yeah.

But ATM someone's working on it, can't say more for now.

Yeah, it seems those sets don't support my bridges.
When will this bridge set support narrow gauge?
Dunno. I guess at the same time the narrow gauge set supports my bridge set

Wait Purno, you say that the bridgeset is already compatible with the US road set, and then you say that someone's working on US road set compatibility... either way, I haven't been able to make it work. Please tell me the parameters/GRF priorities I need.

Hyronymus just released his roadset with my bridges (and others). I dunno if it still works with the US roads.

I don't know exactly. It's a long time ago, and the only thing I did is drawing the bridges. Isn't there a readme file or something included? Or else, we need to ask Szappy, he coded the old version. If the new version still includes it, I guess it's noted in the readme of that file, or ask the coder of that new version (I believe that was Lakie).

I've used both the CRS and your standalone bridgeset, and they won't work properly with US roads. The only download location I know of is that on Szappy's post: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?p=203935#203935 and it has no readme included. Also, the paramters listed are these:
Currently you can use the following parameters:
1. parameter roadset
0 default roads
1 Andrex roadset (called 'TrafficSet')
2 EuroRoadset
No mention of a US road set.

Purno, re my Narrow Gauge question ... here is a quote from Cornelius' Narrow Gaugethread:

ah yes, well, if he can make sprites, we only need someone for coding it, and I wonder if anyone feels like doing that... :?

Hmmm ... who coded your bridges for standard rail? Also they have been coded for various road sets ... any coders there? I would assume that most of the work has been done and the code just needs to be adapted to narrow gauge ... Could it be that simple? :?

I have the same problem, I try to build it, and the screen goes all black and the computer has to reboot to be able to work properly.
I was wondering if there is an update yet to the newbridge set? I have the one that was modified on 29th March 2005.

have you tried the combined roadset which is a combination of the european roadset and these bridges.

Hmm.... that's not suppose to happen :/

Let me know if the same problem occurs with the combined roadset.

Purno, I don't use any roadset, I use the original TTD road graphics.
I have been able to create a silver concrete suspension bridge before, but after 2005 apparently I cannot create one, I have tried holding down the CTRL key, but that rarely works either.

Is there an update to the bridgeset yet? I am using the one that was modified in March 2005. :(

Bridges can get replaced (e.g. getting new graphics) from a certain year. Dunno how exactly that works, since I did not code them. The Combined Roadset includes the bridges, but as I understood the code has not changed. (btw, with the correct parameters you can prevent the Combine Roadset to replace road graphics, IIRC). I believe ATM someone (Lakie) is taking a look at the code to fix the crash problem.

Actually, I'm not looking for why it crashes, I'm looking for why some bugs appear.
However the Combined set doesn't keep the parameters of this bridge set and will active andrex's roadset replacements if Andrex's road grf is active.
Although, if Szappy has a more update source for me to try and merge, I'd be very interested. :p

If you don't want to use the European roadset graphics with the combined set, set the second parameter to 0. :)
Purno's bridges will still be useable (assuming you set the paramter one for them)...

Need to figure out hardcoded Bridge limitations...
Would be übercool if those limitations were gone tho...
