Some people may want the new water without the new coasts though, Henry.

I really liked the buoy graphics you posted in another thread. Any chance you'll be including them in this grf, or perhaps as a seperate grf?

Rivers are here :D Michael Blunck has released a preview, Ameecher is working on his own grf version ... so why wait? Why not some riverbanks of your own that match your water? 8)
well it seems too early. I do not want to precipitate

about buoy, yes, sure

about newwater without newcoast, not for the moment... someone requested me the newcoast without newwater... too many versions

While I'm thinking about it, is there any chance that New Water could be made compatible with this grf? This should just require the temperate graphics in arctic, as with the Alpine grf.

Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but, at least in OpenTTD, with v0.6 in Temperate and Subtropical the North-East facing shores are darker instead of lighter than flat terrain.

Possibly, the buoy icon is the same as the one used in the toolbar. Replacing that could solve it I guess...

You're right! I've changed the sprite of the buoy icon of the toolbar into a completely blue sprite and that made the buoy invisible. Replacing that sprite with the new buoy however doesn't work correct because the new buoy is bigger. Some code needs to be changed I guess, but I do not have much knowledge of such things.

For me invisibility is very good because I don't like to see buoys scattered all over the place just to direct a ship in the right way, but I must admit the new buoy looks great. :D

Because the feature to support those 'missing bits' was only recently added to the OpenTTD Nightly versions. Go grab one of them and go wild, it does look nice :).

(I know it happens to work with the OpenGFX 8bpp version of the shorelines, I'd think it should work the same with Lepkka's original)

Just to confirm Aegir is correct, new water + costal tiles appear as "complete shore lines" in the latest openttd nightlies, but not 6.0 beta 3.

To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

It seems you have mixed some windows and dos grfs. The problem is dos/windows grfs use different palette. There were a DOS and windows version of the original TTD, there is still dos version TTDpatch thats why you may come up with this problem with a windows only Openttd.

You can't choose between DOS or Windows grf files, because the original game graphics make that choise for you. Whatever you need, depends on those files.
