Re: [8bpp] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX
Thread is warming up. Thanks guys. I love the lumber mill. Just a small suggestion: Some more detail on the cinema? Walls appear pretty empty.

Re: [8bpp] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX
Good God! I'm away for like yesterday and now the set is almost completely finished without me!
Very, VERY, good job people. I'll start adding things to the final grf format at the end of coming week. It would be appreciable if the new graphics would be coded into some kind of action-A-grf, because that makes my job a bit easier. Do I smell a little christmas present?

That fountain looks weird
. Better if the fountain looks more like a fountain.

Isn't the 31st of December 2050 a saturday?
Re: [8bpp] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX
It is indeed, which means the original graphics got it wrong
*edit* does anyone have any ideas on what to do with all the trademarked content of trgir? Blank them and ignore it?

Re: [8bpp] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX
Oh, that's easy. Since those logo's and such aren't used by OpenTTD anyhow, we can just put some dummy sprites instead. In the current pre-release I already made them either all black or all white.Zephyris wrote:*edit* does anyone have any ideas on what to do with all the trademarked content of trgir? Also, the todo list didn't list the newspaper thingies since I already knocked some out a while back. But don't worry, I like yours better anyhow! Only one thing, I like the dither of the first newspaper (the one from thursday) better than the second version...
Re: [8bpp] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX
Ah, I didn't realise! hopefully the dither on this one is better, but I've also attached the 32bpp one if you want a go...

What about colorizing a bit the train? Hope we will not have B/W newspapers in 2050!

I read the text in the paper and it saysZephyris wrote:Ah, I didn't realise! hopefully the dither on this one is better, but I've also attached the 32bpp one if you want a go...
However the bold word 'of' below, I would like to change to 'as'. 'of' doesn't seam to fit to me, but someone with native English knowledge should be able to tell if the 'of' variant is valid or not. To me it sounds very strange, but then it can be a very formal wording that never is used in day-to-day texts.Saturday newspaper wrote:The century has been coloured

Yup, you are right. It is "such...as" or "the ... of".
