Ridiculously poor questions shouldn't be answered.

Your post should go along the lines of "In the temperate climate, using r1566 (with the logs attached), the beaches aren't displayed at all. Find a copy of the save game I was using attached in this post."

Fish 'n Chips in Sydney are great; especially in Greek owned restaurants.
Regarding beach color: (No! My monitors aren't badly configured.) It can vary greatly even in a few kilometers away.

Posted are 3 beaches. Last one, with shipwreck, is between the other two, and is my favorite as I used to go vacations there every summer when I was younger (stayed in my grand grandfathers' brother house (built in 1879!)), and I plan to go this year too. 8)

Can the author or coder please explain why your grf is not showing correctly. The attached images are as follows:

Top:- newwaterw_586.grf. This is functioning correctly.

Bottom:- newwaterw_143.grf or newwaterw_203.grf (It can be either one as they both show the same result)

[img] [/img]

As you can see in the bottom image the new water has been activated but the coastline (beaches) has not been replaced and is therefore showing the original coastline from trg1.grf.
This has nothing to do with newgrfw.cfg or ttdpatch.cfg as newwaterw_586
works correctly, but then replace it with newwaterw_143 or 203 and they don't show correctly, so one must assume it is in the coding.
I am using ttdpatch - 2.6 alpha 0 r1568

The number added on to the end of a .grf makes no difference - its merely the forum software.

lepkka will have uploaded this grf as newwaterw.grf - its the forum software that puts the number on the end.

Thus there are no differences between any of the three files you've listed above.

Are they in the same place in your newgrfw.cfg config?

And please be a little more courteous - lepkka doesn't do this as a job, its a hobby.

As Dave says the number of the end means nothing, it is a random number generated by the attachment mod to stop file conflicts on the server.

The version will be displayed in TTDpatch or OpenTTD, that number is important.
It is also possible that earlier versions only changed the water and not the coast.

Also, you might want to turn on diagionalflooding (TTDpatch only) to take full advantage of the the newwater v5 grf, which will eventually fix all the corner tiles such as the farm field in your attachment.

Please remember everyone does this in their free time, they owe you nothing, so please be more courteous.

True, but a roll of the eyes is derogatory in any language.

Apparently, there is a faultly sprite in v5, I noticed that the top-left and the top-right corners of a 1 ttd level increase, uses the 2 ttd levels version.
I'll post if I spot any others...

The bug with the sprites is they have no 'flat' ground on top like they should have, toggle the grf on and off, and you'll see what I mean.

Also, will there be any updates to the other climates coast line? :)

Looks cool!! 8) Will there be a tad more texture on the released version? (Looks a little 'cartoony' in terms of contrast)

Maybe it needs to be a little darker. That contrast brings tension to the eyes.
I am happy you are progressing in this project :) .

new version! pretty much what you see in my last post

downloads at first post

Latest version: v0.6 (for at least ttdpatch 2,5 beta 5)

Latest OTTD and patch stable: v0.3

New water v0.6

----only for ttdpatch 2.5 beta 5 and beyond----

I've made a whole replace of the tropical coast set. I hope you like it.

Done:
-Curved tropical beaches
-Corrected pinkiness in temperate beaches
-Toyland now uses special made flooding tiles
