The Y2 DMU is actually a Swedish version of the Danish ICE3 DMU, "FlexLiner". It ran on "Kustpilen" which is swedish for "Coastal Arrow". In total 20 of these trains were ordered from ABB (Bombardier), but as the original railway they used to run on became electrified, most of them were sold. 10 trains were sold to Israel during 2004-2005, 4 trains were sold to DSB in Denmark while a few others ended up in local services in Sweden.Purno wrote:I know nothing about this train. The mockup is as you said, a mockup. The gaps between vehicles are for you to choose, i only draw the stuff.OzTransLtd wrote:
. the vehicle is 4/8, you made it exactly 16 pixels long (horz view) but in the mockup you showed it with a 1 pixel gap between vehicles. If you want a 1 pixel gap then you need to make it 15 pixels long. BTW, with a gap you need to make vehicles (horz view) a multiple of 4 pixels minus 1.
The longer trailer & motor unit are 32 pixels..the short trailer im not shure if the diagonals are right lenght, their about 9 or 10 pixels atm while they usually would be about 8 pixels..
Except for the fact that OzTransLtd can only adjust the gaps by multiples of 4 pixels.Akalamanaia wrote:The mockup is as you said, a mockup. The gaps between vehicles are for you to choose, i only draw the stuff.
If you draw a 23 px rail vehicle, you get a 1 px gap.
If you draw a 24 px rail vehicle, you get a 0 px gap.
If you draw a 25 px rail vehicle, you get either a 1 px overlap or a 3 px gap.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

I just love this little train. Must. Have. It. (or however one expresses deep desire).Akalamanaia wrote:While i was bored, i photoshopped together a few screens to see how could they look ingame..
If there's anything to complain about, it's the dark orange door on the baggage cars, but as you explained the scarcity of different nuances, I suppose there isn't much to do about it.
Maybe the _ view is a bit long compare to the \ / views for the long cars, the little baggage car seems to have a different proportion between views.

Seeing that I don't know the Swedish trains all too well, I would prefer that some of the Swedish people could lead it instead. BUT, if noone's interested, I don't mind taking this project too. If I now lather get asked about leading the Danish Trainset too (BTW, is it cancelled?) I could say that I'm leading a Scandinavian TrainsetOzTransLtd wrote:fire do you want to lead that project ?

AndersI: Well, TBH I think you're graphics is way better than what I've been capable of making. And I'm sure it would fit in the Norwegian Trainset, along with the ordinary Rc6

EDIT: This question goes to DanMacK: Could we get the permission to use the Dm3 in the Norwegian Trainset? Off course, the colours must be changed and things like that, but I think it's better to have this one as a base and try, than to make one and screw it up. Atleast I would be a master to do that

Hmm.. Two permission questions in under a week..
IMO, it's more important to *lead* than to 'know it all'. Facts about Swedish trains can be researched by anyone, but a project needs a stable hand driving it on.fire87 wrote:Seeing that I don't know the Swedish trains all too well, I would prefer that some of the Swedish people could lead it instead. Don't forget - I only recolored. No big deal. But I'm trying to draw the T43 (diesel freight engine) from scratch now, and *that* is a challenge!fire87 wrote:AndersI: Well, TBH I think you're graphics is way better than what I've been capable of making.

And I would be that stable hand then? I don't really know.. I just have a feeling I wouldn't work too much on this set, seeing that I really don't have any interest at all in internet and that sort of things anymoreAndersI wrote:IMO, it's more important to *lead* than to 'know it all'. AndersI, you might find the Dr16 or Dv12 that DanMacK done for the finnish set useful refrence on how to draw the rest of the views..
heres the Dr16 refrence sprite http://www.tt-forums.net/files/finnishstuff_177.png
heres the Dv12 refrence sprite http://www.tt-forums.net/files/dv12_366.png
Please be noted if you want to recolour them you most probably will have to ask DanMacK.

Well, the Dm3 will be done in both original red and IORE liveries

OK, maybe this thred drowned in everything else...
Could anyone give me some constructive criticism on my first try at drawing a TTD engine from scratch. It's a Swedish T43 diesel loco (freight).
Edit - picture of the real thing. Scroll down the page a bit.
