Post by Jim Powers »

Mr, Captain_Kirk76;

Thanks, Buddy. Here is today's progress on "Illustrious Italy". I improved on the image and
added elevations, (Whee!) A lot of work. :lol:

Hi Jim,

Would it be possible that you can release this map, without industries and towns on it? I would love to create "my own" on this wonderful map.

Thanks.

Illustrious Italy

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. The Irish;

How's my friend? Your request has got me thinking. Why not release my latest scenario
"Illustrious Italy" when it's completed, without cities or industries, as you suggested? :shock:

Then, all I will ask is that those who play the scenario, will send me screenies as they
make their cities, industries, roads, etc. AND what better scenario to do this than
"Illustrious Italy" with it's unusual land formation. The only thing I would not like screenies
of, is drastic disfigurations of the landscape. I'm not interested in seeing my work mangled
by ones who like that sort of thing.

So, as soon as I'm happy with the finished product, I shall release "Illustrious Italy" with
No roads
No cities
No industries
WHAT FUN!

And, Thanks, Mr. Darkmast49, Mr. SAC, Mr. Captain_Kirk76, Mr. ISA, Mr. Raichase and my
good buddy Mr. SHADOW-XIII, (Where the heck have you been?, Haven't heard from you
in along, too long, time.) You Guys are keeping me 'pumped'. Thanks so much! :wink:

Always,
Jim Powers

Dear Jim,
I'm fine, thanks. Just a lot of work in recent and coming weeks, but hey, why should I complain.

I would really love to share my version of your great map. In general, I have to say that I like my cities very small and "unformed" in the beginning, so that it is easy to build rail access right in the middle. But as always, tastes and likes are different.
It was just when I saw your incredible map, it got me thinking of a lot of possibilities...

Pardon Me, Ma'am

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. AndersI;

Thanks, Buddy, for letting me know that. And, please pardon me, Ms. SAC, I did not
know we had a lady in the crowd. And I welcome you, Ma'am!

Mr. Irish, I also was 'picturing' some very small towns on the side of a mountain
with a single RR track winding through the mountains, and a steam engine chuggin' along
with a few passenger wagons clickin' behind, the little engine huffin' and puffin' as they
rattle along, making their way to another sleepy little village..... 8)

I'll have "Illustrious Italy" ready by next weekend.

Don't mention it. It's easy to mistake I guess as the majority of gamers in here are - men! :P :wink:

And thank you for the welcoming! I've been in here for a long time really, but with some period of times away.

Hail Mr Powers,

Thank you for your reply. Its good to see you are quite active. Your focus is indeed on large maps. This is by no means a bad thing, but i figured to keep it a little bit more realistic (hmm TTD and realistic) to keep it small, hence my options for Daunting Denmark and Lovely Luxemburg because they are quite small countries making a map more interesting because it is quite realistic. I do understand your considerations regarding your scenarios and am by no means offended. It was just an idea.

Anyway i will consider trying out a bit myself. But lets first enjoy some of your scenarios.

Kind Regards

Caelan

Hi Jim,
May I suggest you scenario "Hilly Balkan"? There is Serbian scenario made by Prebral and me, but it'd be good opportunity for other ex-YU tycooners!
Thanx in advance. :)

"Hilly Balkan"?

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. Wile E. Coyote;

If I understand you correctly, Sir, you'd like that I might look at "Hilly Balkan"? I'm sorry
I don't quite understand your quote "but it'd be good opportunity for other ex-YU tycooners!":? Could you explain this to me. Thank you.

Meanwhile, I've been testing "Illustrious Italy". I'm having a blast adding towns
and villages as I build my game. :lol:

Here's screenies. And, thanks Mr. Blunck for your awesome graphics! :bow:

Always,
Jim Powers

Jim - That looks to me like an A4 with refitted coaches, which means it's actually part of PikkaBird's UKRS Set. :)

Mr. Dave Worley;

Thanks, Man, for helping me with your 'info'.
I've two trains at the present time in "Illustrious Italy". The first is 4-6-2 'Pacific', and
the second is 4-6-2- 'Streamliner'. Both Mr. Blunck and Mr. PikkaBird are definitely TTD gods
in my book, though I don't know who created what. I've installed both men's train sets. :?

So, forgive me if I got it wrong, but, both men are wonderful contributors to my enjoyment,
and I thank them profusely!

Always,
Jim Powers
(p.s. Did I help you any?)

Sorry Jim, my English isn't so good.
If you make Balkan scenario, it will be chance for all tycooners from ex-Yugoslavia to play in their country map, because now exists only Serbian scenario. Serbian vehicles are used in all ex-YU countries. Hope I'm clear now.
Regards.
